[Ochita]

Albert stumbled with all the staves, leaning the last against the wall as he nodded at the Archbishop.
  "Y..Yes. Good luck!" Albert shouted as the Archbishop walked off, sighing outwardly and taking that staff crystal out, gazing deep into its depths as if in intense concentration. The crystal seemed to almost glint oddly in the light, casting a radiant gleam over Albert, before fading, the crystal spent.

Get that S-rank in healing.

Laura finally snapped out of it enough to make an expression.

"Th-they took Tomik!?"

It was an expression of true depression and horrific despair.

"'No, that would be worse. It would seem that Tomik somehow activated the teleporty thing that the mage had."

As the others discussed and reacted to Tomik's disappearance, Ketsuki looked at Albert, speaking quietly.
"Ah, Albert. You fought well, defeating two in a moment. I was impressed."
Albert didn't even have a soul-eating sword to help him. She paused for a moment, then leaned in slightly, speaking a little quietly - so only he could hear.
"Are you... alright? I know you are not used to taking lives, and..."

[Ochita]

Albert looked up at Ketsuki, and gave a small nod, responding with a quiet voice.
  "I.. I have to be right now, at least until this war ends, and... I knew that from the moment I chose to use light magic, this could've happened." Albert gave a small pained smile. It was a couple of moments, before he looked her in the eye.
  "I.. Hope this ends soon I did something that needs to be done, to protect others, but.. It's just, hard on me."

[GiglameshDespair]

Ketsuki rested a hand on his shoulder.
"As you say. It needed to be done. It may take some time, but you will find your peace with it." She smiled slightly, and spoke again at a more normal volume. "I have not seen such a staff before. How old is such a thing?"

[Ochita]

  "Eventually, maybe. Thank you, Ketsuki." Albert pulled himself up some and gave a small smile, before looking at the fortify staff.
  "Well, this is one of the first healing staves, according to the arch-bishop. I imagine... Older than the place we found the heart in. And its not surprising. This staff is... Immensely powerful. I doubt few can handle, or even use this.."

[GiglameshDespair]

"An antique,  then. Galeforce is an old blade,  but that staff seems to have it beaten." She tapped Galeforce's hilt. "Why could no more be made? Was it just lost knowledge?"

[Ochita]

Albert thought for a moment, before nodding.
  "I believe so, or at least, losing the heart? Cedric mentioned how its power helped create the first, so.." Albert's eyes drew down to Galeforce, his lips pursed. "...Though, I think Galeforce is a bit more... Personal, and unique. Even if it.. Did talk about eating somebodies soul, just now."

[Solymr]

"I am what I am."

Ketsuki smiled wryly at the sword's reply.

"True. A weapon that gets stronger the more it is used... much less one that can talk... it seems like something out of legend. " She said dryly. "Still,  that particular talent seems like it is rather useful against the foes we face. "

[Ochita]

  "I suppose so.. At least it seems to be, yeah." Albert paused, sighing. "I guess we should start to prepare? That attack probably has everyone going to that emergency meeting, and there's no telling how long we'll have to get ready."

[GiglameshDespair]

"I suppose so... not that I really have any preparations to make."
Well, she had a sword and a bow. That was all she needed, really.

[Solymr]

Various people started gathering in the corridors: the generals were returning to meet with the Archbishop, and several soldiers, priests and maids were starting to move the bodies out for burial and clean out the place. One of the people was Micheal, who stopped for a second when he saw Lillian.

: Lillian! What happened here? Are you all right?

Then Anne-Laude approached Lamden.

: That reminds me... Your arm was finally healed thanks to Bor's Heart, right? How are you feeling?

Lamden, standing idle as he tended to his mount in silence, raised his eyebrows briefly on Anne-Laude's approach.
: "...It is back to health, more or less." The cavalier stated simply, moving the now-uncursed arm as far as his armor would let him demonstrate.

[Solymr]

: That's great! But... you didn't answer my whole question. Lamden... I've noticed you seem a bit... absent. I've been worrying about that since we saw each other again at Veyriden. That's why I'm insisting, are you alright?
