I think Captain Ironblood always carried around a cabinet that he created during his strange mood. The fort was back when dwarves would hang onto their creations rather than placing them in a storage room, or something like that. I'm not sure whether it was actually what happened in game but people imagined him smacking things with the cabinet.

Armoiregeddon.

Captain Ironblood counters an opponent's melee attack with a slam, does the "super flash" a second time while the enemy flies in the air, leaps off screen, drops an armoire onto the opponent, then beats up the armoire Dio style until it bursts open.

Also, I'm a little against the idea of everyone having basic ranged attacks. What about grappler-style characters, who are powerhouses in melee but lack ranged capabilities?

With them, 'ranged' could mean along the lines of 'rush opponent' or having a longer than standard melee attack (such as, 'melee'=unarmed or daggers, 'ranged'=swords and spears).

Yeah, more variety is better. And MUGEN is good at variety:

Or treat it like MBison. When he used the kick button he just did a different punch.

The idea is just melee and distance

Plenty of characters in MUGEN have a projectile attack, usually throwing something, but giving one to everyone (especially from DF) is a bit much.

I think 4 frames for most animations should be sufficient, but long attacks may need more. We should also think about grapples.

Beats me. Contrary to expectations, the forum has been quieter this weekend than it was during the week.

Any news, GUNIN?

Ranged attack idea:

Down, Back, Forward + Punch: Wambler Toss.

Low damage, insane crits.

Alternatively, D-B-F+Punch - rock toss, low damage ranged, D-B-F-D-B-F+Punch - Wambler Toss, 3 bar special, awesome damage.

Ranged attack idea:

Down, Back, Forward + Punch: Wambler Toss.

That right there is a special finisher if I ever saw one.
