yes, but I already played a fighter once. While my number of characters is below 5, I'd like to try something new for every campaign.
Although maybe I can cook up some magic based fighter equivalent...

or barbarian. That is also good in the raw damage field.
There is this hybrid class named Bloodrager. Is a hybrid of Sorcerer and Barbarian. Would work for you?

I'm thinking about opening the book of weaboo fighting magic (Path of War/ Tome of Battle) for use, but I'm still not sure with the new guys in the group.

The only issue is the people who made the path of war.

After the crud in Psionics ("I teleport the entire city to the other side of the earth") I am not sure if their books are made to mesh with the base pathfinder classes.

Then again it may just be that the Psionics books are badly written.

The main rule you should make sure your players should follow is: The GM is always right.
Of course, you also have to be fair.
I think it's really the opposite, the players are always right. You just need players who are willing to kick anyone who is ruining the rest of the group's fun out. Otherwise it's still the GM kicking someone out for not playing the way they want, you need some of that backroom democracy. In my recent real life campaign our GM was a real bore and gave us no real agency, second-guessed the things we wanted to do and kept us level 1 for a whole semester, so my friend and I dropped it. I think the GM had a real big story in his head about these things with the PCs possibly having pivotal roles if they did exact things but instead we essentially affected nothing in our favor and received no rewards.

Anyway, I'd be down for trying this (really any system) with a timezone more american friendly. 2pm GMT+2 is 7am and on a sunday I couldn't manage that.

Actually we are playing 3pm GMT+2, which is still relatively early for you though.

Roll20 is a pretty nice platform, altough I played with a group using the "free" features. Appearantly there's a ton more features if you are a premium member. Only thing I didnt like back then, the "person xy is typing" was bugged. So there was a lot of people talking over each other accidentally, might be fixed by now tough.

On your planned Pathfinder game. I wanted to try it out since forever, is there still room or are the 4 slots allready taken? Also, if anyone has some experience with Pathfinder, I'd be very grateful if you could hit me up via PM with a Skype / Steam contact for a few questions.

Theres two slots free, but other persons asked first. If they dont contact us in a while though you will be able to join.
You can ask your questions here and ill answer to the best of my ability :).

I also have a friend who would like to join (He has got no experience either), but as I said, it would be unfair to ignore those who posted first without giving them some more time.

Whoopsie daisy, I forgot to post for a long-ass time.
Yeah, that time works for me great. I -did- come down sick though, so voice chat will be rather annoying for the rest of you if we go that route.

Teleporting cities to the other end of the galaxy is cooler than 'I'm an invisible flying wizard, your filthy peasant swords are no match for my intellect. Prepare to die! *planeshift fighter into the astral plane*' and the classes are more balanced against martials from what I've heard.

There's a thing not to do, I guess. Sorry about the time thing. I'm open to moving it later since I have no life and it gives me more time to last minute plan but you'll have to see what the others can do. I'm waiting on a reply from the two guys that expressed interest at the beginning of the thread before filling the last two slots regardless.

About the time: I may have trouble playing from 5PM to 7PM, and I dinner at 8PM approximately, which means I wouldnt be able to play until its fairly late then.
If we play the game so late, it would be worth considering moving it to a saturday? I have to wake up early on mondays, so I wouldnt be able to stay until very late on sundays. This isnt a problem on Saturdays though.

It depends how you build them. They have a lot of breakability due to how they are written. Psionic classes are weird in that... you have a lot of choice with them... but one of those choices is always obviously the best. It kind of makes me question the quality of the mechanics. Well at LEAST with 3 classes.

Also Wizards get planeshift WAY later (Clerics get it earlier)... Psions get teleport city at level 9.

Yet, the "risks" of the psions teleport city spell are who knows where... The spell outright references that there is a risk.

Mind you yeah they aren't THAT broken... How I treat it is that a Psionic class is essentially 1 level above the party and is strong for that additional level, essentially being a somewhat mediocre +2 levels. If you have a team of somewhat midmaxers you won't have too much of a power discrepancy. MIND YOU this is only at the levels I experienced it (5-10 range) and I had a party of mostly non-midmaxers so I was dealing with a "Good build" versus a "+1 Strong Build". This depends if the Psionic class takes the optimal build or not.

The major weakness of the player is that they had a lot of alpha damage (could deal ridiculous damage outright immediately), but the damage potential waned after 3 rounds of combat. Which by then combat would be mostly over. Add in that the same player made the team's sorcerer and midmaxed him (Hillariously that player cannot even abuse the midmaxing because he doesn't even know his own character sheet...) and there was little way combat could drag until he lacked his alpha strike.

Mind you this is ignoring spellcasters but my issue is mostly that you HAVE TO as a dm memorize the psionics book. Or else you will be blindsided by the spells people cast. DO NOT allow your players to use psionics until you know it through and through. But this should be typical for any DM, I was just a moron who let myself be talked into something that I didn't know how to handle because the person convinced me otherwise.

MIND YOU ALSO that my experience is also tainted by the fact that it wasn't a pleasant one... I was actually fine with the player being more powerful then usual (it happens in dnd, HECK the only player I had a lot of trouble thinking of how to deal with was the Sorcerer, mostly because challenging a mage is rarely fun for the mage), heck I started to scour the book and found a lot of interesting ways to challenge the player. The issue I think had nothing to do with psionics in the end...

Dynamic Lighting requires you to be a supporter as far as I know (As in, you gotta pay)
