This has already been mentioned in some other topics, but I believe there isnt one specifically about it.

Since im not good at explaining stuff, ill just use a copy-paste:

Roll20 is an online tabletop gaming platform with a focus on storytelling as opposed to game mechanics.  This is NOT a video game, but instead a virtual “table” to gather around with friends in order to play any number of role playing games.

Its completely free with the option to pay some money in order to obtain some neat but not needed benefits.

Also if anyone would be up to organizing a game, we can discuss it here.
Right now I would be interested in playing a Text-Based (So no using voice chat or such) Pathfinder game.

I'd do it. I have no experience whatsoever with tabletop games, but it'd really be fun.

If you mean the Pathfinder game, not having experience isnt to much of a problem if you are a player. I dont have much experience myself, but I can say it depends more on wether you have a good GM who explains you how things work.

A great thing about Pathfinder is that all the information is free (And legal) on the Internet.

We had a nWoD forum game, sadly aborted, using Roll20, it's really quite neat, you get all the basic utilities including dice rolling in several styles (i.e. rerolls), in-built character sheets, and with either some work on your own or buying stuff you can make the map really detailed.

I played pathfinder on roll20 and I can attest it is a good platform.

I wish I could organize a game, but I doubt I can spend the time required. Nor I have the experience needed.

But if somebody is going to host one, I would definitely be interested, depending on time zone.

On the GM side, I am trying to build a campaign and it seems to be quite good, allowing detailed maps ( fairly good even with just free stuff), GM overlays, several maps to be loaded with just a click, etc. Also, it is possible to make secret rolls, which can be useful.

I might also be interested in a Pathfinder game, if I can find the time. I've always wanted to try a tabletop RPG, but, well, time zone problems.

Getting players isnt really hard. What we really need is a GM. Also most of you seem to be available at 1PM or so.
A good time would be for example from 2-3PM to 4-5 PM on sundays?

Been having a game FINALLY lasting months.

I've found it interesting that I seem to be very... divisive... with my style. with people either HATING my games, or really enjoying them... without much in between. Luckily my skills are improving somewhat, eventually I won't be able to consider myself a new DM.

We have had 2 players leave and are down to 4 players.

I think one problem I notice IMMEDIATELY is that... I don't make players leave, who REALLY should leave.

What system are you using?

The main rule you should make sure your players should follow is: The GM is always right.
Of course, you also have to be fair.

We are running some pathfinder.

We used to use psionics (Tip for DMs: Psionics works better in Psionics ONLY games.) but with the only player who used Psionics gone... we aren't going to use psionics anymore.
