Sir Gustav Hertmann - Tirinia

"I would like to use this opportunity to express our support to Avalia's selfless peace-keeping mission in Ulvan. Tirinia is willing to support the Avalian effort with up to 2000 troops and a mobile field hospital."

TODAY’S TOP HEADLINE: The Avalia World Post

Riots in Vumbay
September 25th, 2014
Tension over economic woes escalated into a full-scale riot yesterday in Vumbay, a city in the nation of Ethivul. Protesters squared off against riot police with shields and batons in Vumbay Square. After tear gas was deployed, the protest broke up, and looting and violence began to be reported all over the city. Groups of citizens armed with baseball bats and molotov cocktails roamed the streets, skirmishing with police forces and attacking anyone looking sufficiently wealthy or affluent. The Vumbay Police Department struggled to control the riots all night, but says that it is safe to go out on the streets as of this morning.

Ambassador van der Cord, Zimiateos

You surprise me with your support of the Avalian invasion, Ambassador Hertmann. Your nation is well known for its isolationist policies, perhaps you are being incentivised in some way to condone an Avalian attempt to claim Ulvan's wealth for itself?

As you all might infer, I cannot condone a larger, more technically able nation with a thinly-veiled attempt to impose its will on a weaker country. The issues affecting our friends in Ethivul also cannot be ignored.

I urge my fellow members of the Humanitarian Committee and the Assembly Leader to call for a forum in which we can discuss how to better help the Ulvan and Ethivulan peoples in their time of great need.

"And oddly, the Humanitarian Committee has no power to call an emergency forum over a humanitarian crisis. This is certainly an oversight that needs to be addressed."

Supreme Reprsentative Robert

I must request that all representatives focus on the matter at hand.

Avalia will vote in favour of all 4 non-policy proposals, and in favour of GA-B-003-P-R-0. I hereby ends this forum, which sees no budget ratified, yet ratifies all policy adjustements, which will be signed into the charter.

With that authorization, I call for a meeting of the board of first nations, led by myself, as well as a meeting of the economic Council, led by Tirina and a meeting of the Justice council, guided by the Mirian representative.

(On tablet, therefore no copy/pasted proposals)

Minister Fezzik Uharo — Jegula
: We should make this quick. I move to immediately call the Humanitarian Committee to order that they may organize a mission to Southern Tyland to establish a funded agency to aid in the disaster relief efforts, followed by the Security Council to discuss defense issues as well as the peacekeeping mission, and then perhaps there will be time for the Justice Committee to resolve the smaller issues that have been building up.

That's all I have to say for now.

Request an update on the situation in Tyland.

Speaker Bin Hook --- Ethivul

Bin quickly takes his seat, and gives the other delegates an apologetic nod.

"I apologize for my absence, but I was hit by a terrible sickness."

Supreme Representative Robert

With all due respect, Minister Fezzik Uharo, you do not have the authority to call any council to order. I request that you follow formal procedings, and therefore move to the Council of first nations, where we'll need to decide to ratify Chapter 9, or move to the Justice Council, both of which are currently in session.

May i ask that the changes or whatever Chapter 9 is, is brought forward so that we can have a look at it again? This forest of Proposals and amendements is quite chaotic indeed.

Sir Gustav Hertmann - Tirinia

"I would like to invite my fellow members of the Economic Council to join me in the new Council chamber."

*At that moment, an aide steps behind Sir Gustav and murmur something*

"Oh, I've just been notified that the janitorial staff is angry about the takeover of their broom closet and is threatening a strike. I guess we will have to use this Assembly chamber then."
