GA-B-001-P-M-1 Nay
''This proposal while fairer than the original proposal is not the best distribution of wealth available.''

GA-B-001-P-T-2 Yea
''This I feel better represents the poorer nations of the world.''

GA-B-001-P-B-3 Nay
''This proposal is the most harsh on the poorer nations and prevents them from taking a leading role in the politics of this here council of nations. I as leader of the second most populous and second most poor nation with the lowest GDP per capita. This hands power to the rich few in countries like Avalia and ignores the many poor of my nation''

Supreme Representative

Avalia will vote against GA-B-001-P-M-1, GA-B-001-P-T-2, GA-B-001-P-B-3, as we prefer our original, more egalitarian budget proposal. As that concludes our voting session, we can see that none of the amendments passed.

We will thus enter the final vote on the original budget proposal, so that this meeting can be ended.

: Alright lets get this over with and move to the real business of the assembly. We can always pass a more equitable arrangement in a future session. AYE.

TODAY’S TOP HEADLINE: The Rutinde World Diary

Hurricane Devastates Southern Tyland
September 17th, 2014
A Category Four hurricane known as Hurricane Jennifer struck the coast of Tyland last night and wreaked a path of destruction through the country before dissipating over land. Death totals are still pending, but there are an estimated 3 million without power and much of the geographically flat southern portion of the country has been flooded. Rescue workers are working around the clock, but officials say that that there is only so much they can do, and that emergency services are operating on shoestring budgets and skeleton crews. Coastal cities are almost entirely evacuated, but many remain stranded further inland, with streets and homes underwater.

Sir Gustav Hertmann - Tirinia

A most, mmmmh, interesting view on the amending process I must say.

In the interest of moving things forward, Tirinia will vote Aye.

Ambassador Sand

Sand stands up and straightens his tie.

''This is outrageous. I refuse for you to have all countries pay equally. This is little more than political blackmail on your part Supreme Representative. You attempt to sideline this financial issue putting greater financial strain on countries with lesser economies by attempting to twist national disasters in your favour. Your country has a GDP of 17 trillion and a population of 400 million. My country has a GDP of 390 billion and a population of 1.1 billion. This leaves my country with a GDP of 318 per capita. Your country on the other has a GDP of 42500 per capita. You expect my country to pay the exact same amount as yours when your economy is 133 times better per person and 48 times better overall is unacceptable. This is but an Avalian attempt to shunt power to themselves by abusing their position to force other countries into paying a greater proportion of their overall wealth than Avalia must and so leaving it stronger economically than every other nation.''

''I vote nay to this. I will even suggest a new budget plan. I suggest that since Avalia is so eager for 120 million we will give it to them with extra. Each nation pay in proportion to their GDP and a flat rate per council with the Council of First Nations paying more. The council member shall play a flat rate of 2 million per council on top of their shared payment on for the 120 million that Avalia so desires. The members of the Council of First Nations shall pay 5 million for their position on that council as well.''

Payment Plan
Avalia - 55.4 Million (44.4 Million proportional + 11 Million Councils)
Teton - 20.6 Million (9.6 Million proportional + 11.4 Million Councils)
New Gavalon - 4.96 Million (.96 Million proportional + 4 Million Councils)
Jegula - 15.4 Million (8.4 Million proportional + 7 Million Councils)
Rutinde - 14.4 Million (8.4 Million proportional + 6 Million Councils)
Tirina - 17.2 Million (13.2 Million proportional + 4 Million Councils)
Olmis - 4.4 Million (2.4 Million proportional + 2 Million Councils)
Ethivul - 2.6 Million (.6 Million proportional + 2 Million Councils)
Ordia - 3.08 Million (1.08 Million proportional + 2 Million Councils)
Zimiateos - 2.96 Million (.96 Million proportional + 2 Million Councils)
Brennar - 28 Million (24 Million proportional + 4 Million Councils)
Miria - 10 Million (6 Million proportional + 4 Million Councils)
Total - 169 Million (120 Million proportional + 49 Million Councils)
