Cycle 6
Energy: 7,910

You dump 2,000 energy into the heat-dispersing wall material, and it does two things. The first thing it does is give in and be assimilated partially, and the second thing it does is nearly shatter the Low-Q crystal besides it with vibrating from the excess energy. After some repairwork, you don't see anything but more of the material from you new end, and the assimilated section is rather stubborn in doing...anything, really. Its very sturdy and just shrugs off any bits of energy you pulse at it to try to extract some production from it, so you wait for the cycle to tick over to the next one and see if a proper pulse will do anything to it.

Cycle 7
Energy: 9,390
It refuses to produce a thing for you under any circumstance you can think of in your current state, unless you overload it with energy. When you overload it with power it vibrates. It also did not get degraded like typical assimilated matter, so for its absurd energy resistance, you have named the substance Invincitite. Afterwards, in the interest of having more spare energy to play with later, you start assimilating rocks.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Wait a cycle and dump all your energy into some non-assimilated Invincitite.

I just remembered I had meant to put the details of the new form in the update. So the update was updated.

A single bit of it or all the nearby bits?

I propose we fully assimilate as much LQ crystals as we can first. Stay below the surface. Also upgrade our not yet fully assimilated low Q material.

Its an idea, but as far as near the surface goes (assuming you wanted to continue exploring sideways and not vertically), you're just going to find more dirt. Or holes, or other objects, but mostly dirt. Can you be a bit more specific for the first part?

Just 2 turns of assimilation, giving as a nice powerbase.

Cycle 8
Energy: 14,120

You focus on a single chunk of invincitite next to the assimilated one and just blast the crap out of it with 6000 energy. The result is...interesting. While the intensity of the vibration ruined all of the crystal on this side of it (which will take some time to fully repair, and it caused a reckoning upon the nearby assimilated matter, more energy would've probably just smashed both outright) and crumbled some of the dirt, you also heard a rumbling sound on the other side of it, which means theres not as much of this stuff as you might've thought. You've also collected some more Low-Q crystals for their power in the mean time.

The storm has ended.

I would say destroy and replace them, and focus on finishing the assimilation of the invincitite.

That, and growing some Low-Q crystals out into the empty spaces we can currently access. For exploratory purposes.

Are we able to design new functions for crystals? Or attempt to get High-Q, or beyond Refined, or anything?

I'm not really familiar with how we can do stuff as of yet...

You can design new functions, but you'd want a lot of energy and spare crystals, thats why i hadn't brought it up in the original chunk of mechanics.

At the moment though, the only crystal that can be grown into empty space is storage crystals, because they don't require anything to use, they just get used as supplemental storage.
