Keep looking around this place for a hook. There's metalsmithing supplies, so why would it be out of reason to have a hook here also? Acquire the rod and continue looking for a hook.

Roll 14 -

Drink expensive wine and find others.

[1] Even though the wine definitely has the appearance and texture of the highest class stuff there is, it all tastes the same to you. There is no enjoyment in it--just necessity.

[6] You peek out of the kitchen. There is nobody there, so you move forward down the hall.

As you pass by a hall with a number of doors to each side, you notice something moving above you. A pipe seems to be twisting back and forth.
While you ponder this, you hear a loud crashing noise followed by a splash.

I repair the leak with the tool in my tool box then look for a way to drain the water away.

[6] Your toolkit contains a wrench, which is enough to check the pipe to see what the problem is. The leak is positioned over the gap, but it's nothing you can't reach with your long arms combined with the wrench. The pipe seems to be completely loose! You start tightening it with the wrench, straining your arms due to the awkward position, but the leak eventually stops. You continue tightening the joint to make sure it won't come off again--

The floor shudders. You lose your balance and plunge into the water. As you lift your head over the surface, you notice everything is blurry! Your glasses fell off!

Your toolkit is currently located up on the floor level, and yoru wrench is still in your hand. The water is about waist-level, and the floor is at neck-height. It might be difficult--and risky--to climb out.

"Hey, Zaynab. Anything happen around the ship?"
Wait, I guess.

[6] You wait a few moments for something to happen.

The Inserter turns off after about 30 seconds. Immediately after, you slide open the glass container to see what happened. Some sort of steam-like mist comes out of the container and wets your hand, but otherwise there seems to be nothing inside.

Ponder how I might make myself useful.

Harry feels as if his specialties are being under-appreciated. But he doesn't realize that the team still needs a leader, someone willing to rule from below, who knows what it's like to be under someone else's authority... Harry Shine is the perfect candidate for replacement captain, well, aside from having no astronautical or engineering knowledge whatsoever.

"Katelyn got cut, but that was taken care of. Other than that, I'm not entirely sure."
Riffle around the stuff in the lab some.

Philbert is currently using the DNA inserter, a strange device mounted to the table next to the computer. Nothing but mist comes out of the container when he is finished.
You look through the 3d printer designs on the computer. Most of the loaded templates consist of replacement parts for pieces of the ship, such as piping, gears, mechanical parts, and... a giant knife. The knife is at the top of the list, under a 'Recently Edited' banner.

There are also a couple of microscopes. You take a peek inside one and, sure enough, there are still microbes all over the ship. It's not exactly a sterile environment.

Keep looking around this place for a hook. There's metalsmithing supplies, so why would it be out of reason to have a hook here also? Acquire the rod and continue looking for a hook.

[6] Oh, there are hooks. However, most of them are used for the innocent task of hanging tools inside the cabinets. You could loosen some of them and attach them to the rod, perhaps.

Dislocate one of the hooks. Use a blunt object, such as the rod, if I need to. Attach the hook to the rod and proceed to retrieve my Toolkit.

Lie to the comms. "Hey, guys, I just found a note from the captain naming me the second-in-command. Whoops, it just fell into the shredder. Oh well, if nobody has any objections, I think I'll take control."

Head to the bridge and ask the Narrator how these things work.

((I've only skimmed through the parts explaining the system for navigation used in this game, it's probably fitting that I have no idea how it works. Well, I do know how orbiting works in real life, but Harry doesn't. He's not quite as almighty as you'd think. Yet.))

Roll 15 - Fish Tank

Dislocate one of the hooks. Use a blunt object, such as the rod, if I need to. Attach the hook to the rod and proceed to retrieve my Toolkit.

[2] You remove a power drill from its place on the wall and start to twist one of the hooks holding it up. It won't budge. You go and grab a hammer to try and force it off by smashing it, but sadly the steel alloy is too tough and the hook hardly bends under the impacts.

Vision available

Get out if harm's way and examine the situation.

You peek through the door and find that Vex has fallen into a pool of water. Strange, is that pool supposed to be there? The floor seems to be missing a large section of the grating. Vex is currently crouching underneath the water level periodically--you notice his glasses are missing.

Vex shout out curse then begin finding his glasses in the pool of water

[3 - 1 (no vision) = 2] You dive under the water repeatedly but can't find your glasses, after scanning the whole surface of the floor around you. While panning around you do manage to feel something in your hand. It felt slimy, but you were only able to hold it for a split second before it left your hand.

Go look for other crew members.

Zaynab is still pondering things inside the lab. Meanwhile, Kate is in the shop, doing... something with the cabinet that involves hitting it with a hammer repeatedly. You assume she knows what she's doing and let her carry on.

As you return to the bridge, you find an open hatch to the side and hear movement from the hallway it leads to. You go through and find that Vex has fallen victim to a loose floorboard and fallen into a pond of water that's just below the grated floor in this hallway.

Lie to the comms. "Hey, guys, I just found a note from the captain naming me the second-in-command. Whoops, it just fell into the shredder. Oh well, if nobody has any objections, I think I'll take control."

Head to the bridge and ask the Narrator how these things work.

((We're basically making up the rules as we go))

You head to the bridge, and surely enough the narrator starts speaking again.

Alright, so here we have the, erm, navigation computer. It is a vital component to navigating the planets and plotting out orbital trajectories. I trust you know what an orbit is, right?
The narrator's never asked you a question before! You're not exactly sure how to respond...
Right, so next we have the dashboard. This is used to tell the status of the ship. And lastly, we have the Systems panel, which unfortunately has a misplaced cable. You can fix that yourself, however, you can use it to control the cameras, life support, bulkheads, and other systems. Use it in case your ship gets invaded or something.

You sit back in the captain's chair after clearing away the dust to which the old captain had been reduced to. You check some of the drawers located around the bridge, bringing out a bottle Scotch with the cap still attached. No cigars, though, that stuff clogs the life support systems.

Use the comms. "So, what are you up to, crew?"

((By the way, shouldn't my swithing of clothes a couple turns back have removed the status effect for a dirty shirt? And Samarkand, you might want to bring up IC how much you need alcohol, so I could give you the Scotch technically without metagaming.))
