So I was cleaning out my 2000+ emails because I'm in a PBEM game now and will actually have to look at this shit now.

Anyway, in my spam folder was a email from some "quick sex hookup" thing and the first part of the message was visible.

"Hello my pussy sensei" is possibly the greatest thing I have ever seen.

Exercise equipment

...I can't tell if that was real or not. The first one is real. Stupid-looking, but real.

Hm, have you considered murder?  It's either that or letting it go.

To be clear, it's not so much that this is funny as much as it is that I am laughing at the mother. And I really -am- laughing.

i am certain that this was the first time a 12 year old was exposed to pornographic material. before now she was a perfect innocent flower who didn't even know that she had a vagina, let alone what could be done with it.

Just saying, that's what happens when your system doesn't support complex search parameters or your users don't know how to use them. The problem arose because the search was [books for teenagers] rather than ["books for teenagers"]; the former is parsed into individual keywords ["books" "for" "teenagers"]. I'm entirely willing to bet that the "misclassification" was solely that those words were still associated with the content of the porn, and that the fix was removing them.

Also, requisite jokes about Amazon just being savvy as to what their customers want and what the kid really searched for.  ::)

So, there's a sort of... not underground, exactly, but not advertised market for erotic works on Amazon.  Its basically a bunch of short and specific stories marketed at the same audience that made 50 Shades of Grey popular in the first place.  But, and this is where it gets funny, even though there's a large audience for them Amazon hasn't provided a category for them.  So they all get shunted off into other categories, mostly romance and horror.  So now if you want to look up horror ebooks you have to filter through a bunch of erotica with really, really silly names.

It's also a phrase. Phrase probably came first.

Means dumbfounded, like if someone were to smack you in your gob.
