Yes, but can we resurrect ourselves 3 days after death?
Precisely, so my original point stands. He was dead. He just wasn't effected by it for long. Then he "Died" or "Rose to heaven" or whatever you want to say after that.

That and that is taking Jesus' message to ridiculous extremes.

Turn the Other Cheek is about not taking revenge and about the virtue of peace over hostility...

It wasn't about how self-defense is a bad thing.

Jesus wasn't arrested by a bunch of murderers, he was arrested by guards who were doing their job which was absolutely necessary. Jesus at no point met a murderer who was out for his blood.
And yet, the priest spinned it so that it was exactly that; he was totally murdered in cold blood.

Yeah I am basically telling you that the priest didn't get the point

Ok I am not looking it up because it is depressing...

Is Jack Chick that guy who things EVERYTHING BUT reading the Bible and being Christian (or Catholic I forget) is pure unadulterated evil and has written several articles based on it?

Catholic? Heh, you actually got this part completely in reverse. Jack Chick thinks Catholics are literally Satanists. So are Muslims. And everyone who doesn't follow his specific denomination of Christianity or use the same version of the Bible as him. And anthropologists, can't forget the anthropologists and secularists.

He's an evangelical protestant comic book guy. Note that the adjectives apply to both him and his works.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_T._Chick Wikipedia.
He is, essentially, a fundamentalist Christian. His beliefs are many, and sometimes completely contradict each other. He likes to think playing D&D gives you Satanic POWAH!, Halloween is a holiday that comes from a Druid custom involving pumpkins, and also that all Christians are persecuted.
Come to think of it where do the pumpkins come from I know where the holiday comes from but I have no idea about the jack o lanterns

I can tell you where it doesn't come from. Ireland.
I believe the pumpkins themselves come from America, but the Jack o' Lanterns I have no clue 'bout.

Wikipedia is, as usual, your friend.

Amusingly, at least one of the major schools of thought re: Jack O'Lanterns is that they did originate in Ireland. Just not carving pumpkins.

Squash in general, of which pumpkin is a subset, did apparently originate in the americas, though.

Hmmm... So Chick got something partly right? Who'd have thought...
Still, he thinks the pumpkins themselves originated from Ireland during Celtic times.

So that's interesting.

Though that wouldn't be so bad if you also took what I said to be about Swedes.
It's only a problem if you get one half or the other wrong.

The only context I can think of here is either carving Swedes into spoopy faces and stuffing a candle in them on your front porch, or that Sweden is now an asexual country but it used to be a literal orgy in the streets.

Well, to get back on topic, I think it's time for a reminder that Jack Chick has said that the nucleus of every atom is held together by Jesus.

If that's true, does that mean my dirt can be used for communion?
