Is there any way to set the depth on my own? + and - doesnt work anywhere I have tried and periscope depth easily gives you off, you cant move when you are on the sea floor either.. help.

Well, "s" isn't shown in the game but it surfaces the sub.

If you're at the ocean floor and can't move, it's probably because there's too much water in the sub. If this is the case, have you tried repairing all possible breaches and activating bilge pumps?

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

No breaches at all, it just wont move on the floor, not that I expect subs to have wheels anyways.

Also this game is such fun! I start it and one moment later, boom goes the secondary reactor! Are soviet subs really such crapshoots? :P

!!FUN!! setting is rather low.

It starts at 100, I now have to play it at 1000 due to how silly it is.

It reminds me of the surface-to-air missile launcher simulator. :D

Which one was that?

Use 7zip for all of your compressing and uncompressing needs. Or at least most of them, I'm sure there's some things it doesn't do and people use.

I confirm that the free 7zip can open/extract those specific rar archive without problems, slower than winrar but it does the job there.

Yah, but why the fuck should I, and why bother using .rar in the first place? .zip is good enough.

I remember reading comparison charts between formats, telling basically that .rar had better compression than .zip, probably a big reason for its use, and less chance to end in corrupt download than .zip.

It was mentionned that .7z the native 7zip compression format was beating both rar and zip if i remember well, though oddly very few people upload files in .7z

pretty much what was stated above... zip < rar < 7zip

For the average end user it tends to be a moot point but if you actually compress things it makes a huge difference
