How about...
- Different pieces of silverware with specific uses (salad forks, butter knives, etc.)
- Offensive hand gestures (Middle finger, Roman salute, V-sign)
- Plates that break
- Throwing food at other diplomats
- Ethnic slurs (Procedurally generated, of course)
- Fire
Just throwing things out here.
As for the setting, why not use the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles?
Planned (near future)
Add framework for objectives. For example, you would have 10 seconds to pick up a piece of food. If it takes longer than that, it would start have an adverse effect on your dining partners.
Add food that can be picked up
Add wine that can be poured
Add method of testing if food is on fork
Add method of testing if wine was poured successfully
Give other countries intelligent interactions. Right now they just use random etiquette.
also he has a link to a place where suggestions can be placed on the same post as his last realease
Just reposting this so I know what's already been said.
* More types of diplomatic interactions. I currently just have: Where do you hold your glass? and How full do you fill your glass?
Bro, I got diplomatic ideas coming out of my ears.
Have the NPCs ask you questions - "What kind of wine is this?" "How do you feel about [INSERT COUNTRY]?" And if you get them wrong, they flip shit and nuke you.
Have objects in the room that you could potentially collide with and send everyone apeshit. (Like octodad) (lamps, tables, chairs, artwork, statues, etc.)
Having to greet them in a specific way (I think it was mentioned before) "Hail great King of Satstan!" *nukes fired* "I am the
magnificent, not
great. Die!"
Anyway, hope these are helpful, this game looks awesome, and I'd love to help in any way possible. I can't code very well, but do know some people who might be willing to texture, and I can pick it up fairly quickly myself.
