Steffan:
You pick two of the orcs to serve as your porters, and agree to meet at the Inn in the morning.
Steffan, Bethany, Eli, Ashii, Ashura:
After coming to the conclusion that yes, together you all have enough funds to purchase a boat, the group heads down to the docks in order to see what might be on offer. The following ships are docked:
-The Tinheart, a bearded longship owned by a dwarven trading group. They appear to be busily unloading barrels at the moment, and the ship does not appear to be for sale.
-The Elven Maiden, a particularly slim vessel with long oars crewed by a group of of hobgoblins. Unusually for hobgoblins, the crew is singing loudly in Goblinese and drinking what appears to be cherry wine.
-The ARS Expeditious, a twin-masted sailing ship owned by the Royal Navigator's Guild. It does not appear to be for sale.
-A large number of rowboats chained to the dock with a sign stating, "Inquire at Inn for Key". These must be the ones the bartender mentioned.
There is also an elven shipwright present, who has a number of colourfully painted rafts already built and half a kneelboat in drydock. Upon inquiring about the price, he informs you that the ship was commissioned by a group of explorers who went missing and are probably dead. He'll finish the knealboat and sell it to you, if you can pay the 4000 still owed on it up front.
Morazin, Rohan, Orgarr Vray:
As it resolves itself, there is not a physical temple in Rivertown, only a small stone circle where the local druids and elven priests conduct their duties. When asked where the Temple of the River Lord is, they laugh, say something briefly in Elven, laugh some more and then explain that "The Temple-in-the-sense-of-religious-group meets here. There is no Temple-in-the-sense-of-religious-building constructed yet." He goes on to point out, in a rather smug way, that if you were speaking Elven, such confusion would not occur.
The priests are willing to cast various divine spells on your behalf, for a donation, and will provide holy water at cost. They prefer being paid in silver, as they're currently short on silver powder for blessing holy water. They will provide legal and religious advice free of charge, as per their religious mandate. One of the priests eyes Morazin and Rohan speculatively and informs you with the utmost solemnity that he's the one who officiates marriages, if that's what you're after. It takes about five seconds before the others crack up laughing again.
