3. We did but...how the hell are we going to remember the exact spot? An again it's months ago. I agree that if we ever beat up bandits or easteners again to loot the area before moving out but -1 to looking for months old corpses.
Yeah we probably won't be able to find it. On the other hand the whole experience was very, let's say, unusual, so Raynor may remember more than we expect. In any case we just spend about half an hour or so scrying, both to find the location of the battle and to see if there's any loot there and the quality of the loot. If the loot is good and plentiful enough we may want to grab it. As for our scrying ability, we were able to get a bird's eye view of the entire city and that was a long time ago. We'd have gotten better by then so it should be even easier to find it.

EDIT: by the way andres this is from the last update on the bottom spoiler. "The current route plotted is the most direct way to Koringberg, which is much better kept and faster than the route you took before. On the way back however, it is likely you will be able to go whatever direction you like."

If we really wanted to we can go visit Uncle Robbi (attempting to rob our destiny of being king) and Sir Raymond. On the way to talking to mother we should ask about any landed family we could meet. So on the return trip we could go to them as well.
Yeah but the whole trip would take weeks if not months to complete and I don't feel comfortable being away from the goings-on at home for too long. I say just visit Robilard and Raymond for now.

Meh fine robby and raymond place after korinberg +1.

EDIT: Guys i decided to make a map of the world as we know it. This is all done with information from the firsts post. I have omitted the free cities of mirdas because it doesn't say on what direction do they lie to annaylse. The H.S stands for holy sentinel and it's where i THINK it's at. I know annalyse is south of it and the nations of the north bow down to them but nothing more. Do take this with a a grain of salt because i'ts not drawn to scale and will change when we get more info. Hopefully in the future i can coordinate more with mlam and draw something nicer.

The map:

I was under the impression Adalbert was NE of Analysse and that it was landlocked, and that only the two most Western duchies of Analysse were the only two Analyssian duchies that weren't landlocked. Moreover, one of the Keshlan islands needs to be bigger than the rest. Half the size of Ireland if I remember correctly, and this this island was NE of the other islands (not entirely sure about that last bit). There's also a problem with the spelling. It is definitely Kesh-la, not Kel-sha. Check OP.
However, until a new map comes out, this is canon and it is much appreciated. Good work 3man75.

Whoops the H.S territory is suppose to take up that part..an yeah i messed up with kesla's name but Mlam did say it was a bunch of islands and i though about japan. But i thought there 4 islands that were basically the same size...dammit. Well in my defense it's like my second time doing a map for a fantasy world and i did say take it with a grain of salt.

EDIT: GM could you answer question #5 conserning when we turn 14? An how do you like the map?

Gonna try to address various questions i've seen.

The Baron Vassal of Penrod is named Ernst, though his naming was pretty easy to miss.

Your birthday is in about four months, if all goes well you should be back home well before that. I've considered creating my own calendar system, but instead i'm just going to use the Julian calendar because why not? It is currently the month of November, and you were born on the 15th of Martius.

That map isn't bad considering the vague information i've given, though i'm sure you guys wouldn't mind more context. The Mainland around the Bay is much more of a crescent shape, With the Archpisphoric of the Holy Sentinel taking the Northern tip of the crescent and Analysse mostly dominating the crescent, though the the free city states control the southern tip of the crescent. The Eastern Borders of Both Analysse and Adalbert are poorly defined, and Adalbert is much further inland, extending North more than West. There are two groups of islands within the Bay, the eastern group of islands are very small and mostly unpopulated, though Analysse controls a portion of them. The western group of Islands Are the Keshlain Islands and are a little farther south than Analysse, and are very tightly clustered together. Six of those islands are quite large.

I've been trying to find a good mapmaking program actually, specifically to provide visual reference, does anybody have any suggestions? It would be really nice to be able to sort of layer political and geographic maps.

As for the Keshlain revolution being similiar to the Russian Revolution? I honestly had not thought of that, and was more thinking of an interesting way to spin the rather complicated caste culture of India into a fantasy setting with my own flair.

I'm also going to address what may have been a small miscommunication. The trinkets and useless jewlery given to you guys were more many many token gifts from courtiers, lords and merchants than from peasants. Sort of a "Oh, it's the Prince's birthday? Better get him something." sort of deal than the lavishing of gifts from commonfolk. Most peasants don't keep jewellery around.

I'm going to update soon, but i'm hoping to get the journey started in the next update, so now is the time for any and all last minute preparations.

Julian calendar and 4 months. Gotcha.

Also concerning kelsha (am I saying it wrong?) I think it goes without saying that a indian caste spin on it would be nice to see. I honestly don't know much about Indian caste tbh. Russian revolution? I studied the snot out of it along with Nazi Germany.

As for mapping tools...DA murro? Free an although coloring is hard to do you can draw diagonal lines like I did with different colors than put in the description what's what. Since it's your world you can draw it better than me or any artist. Not that I am one one.

Can't wait for that sit down with vulhara about taking action fir the guild's interest, her nation's restoration, and her negotiating skills.

We really ought to find out what she's like.

Next time on princeship....

Raynor: Vulkhara, I'm going to have a meeting soon. I'd like you and your father's representatives including the military man I hear about. Could you arrange it?

Vulkhara: Yes Prince, what is it for?

Raynor: On my knowledge of Adalbert and my thirst to know more of Kelsha. Consider this a cultural discussion, on what we should expect.

Vulkhara: ...I see. I'll go get the others.

Raynor: Good, an thank you i know this is very much short notice but ive been wanting to have this sit down for awhile now.

Discuss every thing we know about Adalbert, one of the reps can translate and we can learn a bit of Kelshan in this discussion. Answer questions and then ask about Kelsha. What was it like before the civil war, who leads the revolutionaries (we don't know the leaders name, an any other prominent leaders in that faction), how did Kershaw unite, are there different sub groups?, What do they know about the other factions specifically in terms of there leadership/goals, and what kind of troop types would be most invaluable and what other troops could be keys to victory. Ask of the factions are known to assassinate individuals or brutally execute captives.

Also if you go back andres or weird sound made a huge post with suggestions. Can't quote from here though.

kelsha (am I saying it wrong?)
Yes. Keshla, not Kelsha. Sh before l.

vulhara
Vukhara. k - not l.

To do that just find the post, click "Quote" on the top-right part of the post, copy everything in that text box and paste it into your post.
I think this is the huge post with suggestions you were talking about:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
EDIT: Note that some of those suggestions are slightly out of date. For example, the 'No Sekhon Help' clause of the first suggestion has been altered by subsequent posts of mine. That's just one example. Visiting Rob and Ray should be done on the way back, for instance.

Andres is correct.

Mother and Barrick will be managing our assets with sekhom while we are gone. They are to pay particular interest if he does some skimming of our funds.

An as tradition +1 to every thing else.

And get the general idea out that we want our position within the capital improved in our absence.

mhhm. I doubt mother can help us get more allies/freinds since she's lost so much power in that regard. But anything is worthy for us atm i believe...except cloak and dagger stuff that's not cool.

Also when we talk to mother ask her also why she's been having trouble raising support for us or William. I remember her taking that harshly an it'd be good to at least know WHY that's happening.

EDIT: update still incoming mlam or has something got in the way?

It's been crazy the past few days. Also got kinda sidetracked on beginning to work on comprehensively detailing every county within the Kingdom, which is time-consuming because it's a big kingdom and i'm now going full tilt with detailing the houses and lords of those counties. So, one could expect a sudden information dump on my part any time now.

The entire kingdom?

IF there is anything i can do...actually how about re-doing that map for you based on the new info Mlam? I know it's crescent shaped with annalyse somewhere in the middle, free cities to the south, and the H.S to the north. North east of the H.S are the adalbertians. East the Eastern scum and Bandit baronies. AND Kelsa (andres am i saying it right?) to the west part the bay of mirdas...which is named after the free cities for some reason.

one could expect a sudden information dump on my part any time now.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Question: How much have you completed and what's left? But no biggie, i guess if life and an info dump are in the way than it's in the way. Also...would you be averse to me making my own story similar to this? It's just that when you look at it, no book have i encountered has had a medieval setting where it focuses on the prince in such a gritty setting. In fact the only gritty setting in medieval fantasy is Game of thrones but that book/series jumps from person to person at the drop of the hat. Even if you find yourself liking someone the author offs them. Which is not a spoiler it's almost his M.O right now.

Example completed 10% and have another 90%.

EDIT: Just saying though...i'm always on the edge of my seat for an update to this game Mlam.

EDIT: new map. Still work in progress though.

Fixed.

Kelsa (andres am i saying it right?)
Kelsha. Kel-sha. K-E-L, then Sha. With an S-H. :D

EDIT: new map. Still work in progress though.
The mainland needs work but the way you drew Keshla is pretty good! I noticed that in your last post you called it Kelsa and in the map you called it Keshla. Forgive me but it's kinda funny how you can never quite manage to spell it. :D

Damn that country, i swear if we can start a coup in the future we damn will. Just to change the damn name into something more annalysian freindly. More patience, i need.

Okay well, next time i'll start more on the right with the map. It is after all a work in progress.
