i'm glad that at least the short bows work! :D

one minor thing once again: is it really necessary that wooden arrows need three logs? a little bit expensive in my mind :/

I am a relatively new player to DF, and your mod made me come back to the game. Good work.

Now, to the dog-faces.

How much does a kobold eat? The same as a dwarf (2 units of food per season)? For me to calculate how much my camp (let's say 15 kobolds, after the first migrants wave)  will consume in a year (the MAXIMUM TIME it can possibly take for a caravan to come by. Took more on my last Dwarf Fortres...  ::)), so they don't starve to death and fun doesn't comes too soon.

Yes, they eat the same, but it has to have meat in it. Farm animals a lot, hunt, kill invaders and butcher them.

razorback: I can make it planks instead of entire logs. :)

why does stealing require hunting? it's terribly annoying to me as hunting left on usually results in surprise deaths... i understand as it makes sense but i'd rather it be something else :(

you can set via workshop profile which kobolds are allowed to use the workshop.

there would still be surprise deaths with workshop profile unless you use burrows but... maybe diplomacy? or write over another skill, kobolds don't seem like the researching type and i haven't found any reactions that use the skill

You can use the profile to restrict it to only the kobolds you don't mind losing, not just hunters.

He means that activating stealing/hunting labor on bolds will result in them running outside and killing themselves.

I never use hunters so i just don't give them any ammo...

what meph said, in my experience hunters will go out and attack any animal in the wild and will attempt to melee when close and out of bolts.  unicorns have a history of killing hunters :P
i've started giving no ammo for the hunters and turning off announcements ^^

hunters are a pain and die easy imo : /

btw kestrels have a single point in hunting making kids start automatically with hunting on. i turned off ammo for hunters but i expect he would be hunting otherwise

but... a gameplay question! are there any spells for bringing the dead to life without the "kill all living" part?

i mean 1 spell that would bring a kobold to life without making it an undead or opposed to all life :P
trying to make the breeding warren to work but it just makes corpses

Yeah, the script was broken and sets their age to the age of the world. kobolds life max 25 years, so if your worldgen is 25 years or more, they insta-die of old age. I have a fixed version here, will be in the next update. I always test on new worlds, a few years old, so I didnt catch that one.
