Final word on procreation and mortality stuff has been added to the OP.
ROUND 17 HAS ENDED

Your event cards for the day are...
Good Fortune and Times of Plenty! All players gain 10 happiness and, unless they are depressed, an extra two action points.
Nothing of note.

Something has happened...
GreatWyrmGold gives birth to a beautiful bouncing baby! Congratulations GreatWyrnGold and Talvara
Quote from: Child
Traits: Sharp Mind, Pretty Face, Hard Worker
RAM pushes the frontier! He discovers a Plot of Empty Land (5 food capacity, +1 food per turn. May be exploited once per round.) and Medium Delite Claim (80 Delite Capacity, 10% Delite Recovery).
Tiruin pushes the frontier! He discovers a Small Delite Claim (20 Delite Capacity, 10% Delite Recovery) and Small Wampoon Claim (50 Wampoon Capacity)
.

New research is available!
Basic Child Care (cost: 10 time) - Now that there are children running about, it might be worth it to learn how best to care for them. This ability will unlock several actions and opportunities, as well as new research.

ROUND 18 BEGINS
A celebration, for the birth of the child! Hope for the future! The people rejoice!

Mind if I ask how and why?
I reduced it, because it was way to good. A child should not be able to master 30 skills before becoming an adult.

Why does good omens add +10 instead of +5?
Shouldn't it be the exact opposite of ill omens and not punish us in any way?

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

GG:  Is that depressed before or after the actions (IE socializes) of last turn?

It's depressed after the actions of last turn AND the bonus happiness is applied. (So, unlikely, until and unless you guys get some pretty ludicrous expectations)

Also, GWG, that should be 21/21 happiness, not 21/11

Also, do we pick a trait or does the kid get all three?
The traits listed are the traits your child receives. He has all three. You lucky bastard.

And RAM, the cards have been added to the OP. I totally forgot to update that. And for grabbing them for me, +1ap each to you this turn (+2 total)

If you gain 10 happiness when you are at maximum happiness, shouldn't you only gain 5 maximum happiness (because happiness gained at maximum increases the maximum, so you would get +max +hap 5 times)?

its probably based on unlocking all the farming tech like domestication and crop rotation, that or like 10-20 food.
