It rounds up (so a 1 cost research would still cost 1. But that means that yes, a 5 research time item would only cost you 4.

Research costs are rounded down. So you can put a full 2 to those fields.

i too can use quotes from the gm for my own nefarious purposes >:D

It rounds up (so a 1 cost research would still cost 1. But that means that yes, a 5 research time item would only cost you 4.
this just means research will never cost less than 1 Tu

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

this just means research will never cost less than 1 Tu
75% of 5 is 3.75. So it rounds up.
Also both I and GWG paid 8 time for IFT, which is a 10 time research. The cost, as you see, was rounded up.

I am awaiting for clarification from mister gryph.

No. But I will give you a food for IFT and a resellable right to farm 1 of your food lands (your choice which) at 1 time (of my choosing). I'm willing to make that a trinket for more rights. And, as always, anyone with IFT is welcome to take the offer instead.
We can discuss this at length, as apparently I'll have to go with the next group (unless you want to waste 5 TU on me).

Good catch. As a penalty for this attempt to buck the system, GWG's research cost for Irrigation has increased by 1, to 16!
RuleOfNothing has gained an action point!

On the research time:
As to the research time, that was my bad. I've apparently been sending mixed messages!
The current status is "Rounds Down, but can never be less than 1." as the easiest way to say it. Anyone who find where I (and only I) got this wrong and tells me where will get an extra action point this turn.
Anyone who paid the rounded up cost can received a turn back this turn as well.
kaian-a-coel - You would get that point, but your quote link only goes to my profile and I can find no evidence of that quote on the 19th. Clarify where you found it and you are good to go.

so apparently the format is (work_done_this_turn to total_work_done/total_work_needed) not  (work_at_start to work_at_end/total_work_needed). You should fix that before someone snitches you out.

Tattle on Toaster: I believe you shouldnt have 1 food in your inventory, Last round you joined and grew one food, You ate that food. so your food total for this round should be 0.

edit: in case you thought that improved farming gave you 1 extra food I'm afraid improved farming only lowers the time needed to farm (in your case from 7 to 6)

Improved Farming Techniques (cost: 10 time) - Reduces the cost of Grow Food by 1.


So yeah a1s is correct :)

edit 3: Perhaps we could adopt a new format that helps with tracking incoming and outgoing resources?
something like...

11/11 happiness (old happiness = 11/11, -1 basic dissatisfaction, +1 relaxing)

1 food (old food = 0 -1 basic hunger, +1 GrowFood, +1 trade with John Doe)
