...Alright. So that is what the book does.

Well, that's one of the things it can teach people. It's sorta like the Necronomicon, but infinitely long.

Name: Patricia Garfien
Age: 37
Equipment: Backpack :Surgical bag, .357 Magnum, hatchet, 60 .357 rounds (Speed loader) ,whiskey flask (3), rosary, glasses, Glock, Glock magazine (3), Glasses case
HP: 11
Stats:
Int: 9
Str: 11
Agi: 10
Skills: General Medic(3), Small Arms (3)
Advantages: She has steady hands, and is very calm in high stress situations. This can be a lifesaver in the field.
Disadvantages: Territorial about her work, needs glasses/contacts(farsighted), and a functional alcoholic.
Perks: Excellent bedside manner.
Quirks: Racist. Yep. Against EVERYONE. Not to the point where she dislikes them, just the point where she believes just about every stereotype there is. Curiously enough, not religious, or homophobic, or sexist. I can change this if it might cause problems.
Bio: Patricia grew up in southern Texaz, raised by two rich white parents who fit every stereotype of rich white people there was, or almost. They did love their daughter, but they were also assholes to most people below their station. When she became a surgeon in college, they were delighted to see their little girl take up such a proud profession. When the chupacabras started striking, she managed to save her brother's life, barely, but had to run, and he was left behind. She rode a horse for hours, eventually letting the poor thing rest, where she was taken in by some kind colored people. Long story short, she ended up joining the Archangel foundation, to help keep the fighting men alive. That said, being a Texan, she's not bad with a pistol either...

"I thought of doing that at first" Goldman answers "But they had reinforced the ceiling, according to our intelligence. They had brought in some supplies, mostly concrete and steel, to make the building bombproof. They started with the ceiling, fearing that they would simply get bombed out, and somehow keeping the bottom up. The police did, however, stop them before they where finished. We would have to shoot thru a bunker to be able to get to them, and I think that would make a little too much noise, as well as being almost impossible to accomplish in any timely manner. Any other ideas?"

Any other suggestions?

HP: 10
Stats:
Int: 15
Str: 10
Agi: 5
Skills: Small arms (1), ???(3), Rifle (1)
Advantages: He has a tome of forbidden knowledge, might come in handy. Also never seems to give up no matter how F.U.B.A.R. a situation has become, though that crosses into disadvantage territory when the situation is can only get worse by continuing.
Disadvantages: He is pretty goddamn crazy.
Perks: Has the unnatural ability to always find a clip of ammo when he needs one, even where it should not be (check your potted plant. Ammo clip. Check your back pocket. Ammo clip. Check the inside of your computer. Ammo clip.).
Quirks: Carries a small tome of forbidden knowledge, losing track of the book leaves Joe incapable of doing anything but tearing everything apart to find the book. No one else is allowed to touch, read, or even have a clue what is in his book without later dying under suspicious circumstances.
Bio: Joe was an undergrad student at a local university when the first wave came. After looting a dead man's body of a shotgun, Joe was spotted by an Imp who was carrying a small tome. While Joe couldn't kill the Imp before it alerted others to his presence, he still managed to get away. Later, Joe felt a lump in his back pocket. The tome that the Imp carried had somehow gotten into his pocket. Against every part of him telling him to throw the book away, something seemingly forced him to read it. No one knows what he read, but Joe was discovered by the Foundation cutting off the hand of a demon who would not let go of the book even in death. Currently, the only information about the book that could be pried from Joe was "There is always more. No matter what, there is still the next page."

An alarm soon sounds, as you leave your room to go to the main room. Everyone is gathering equipment, as Ace waves to you in passing. "Firebird in the Baltics" he said, quickly while walking past you to the armory. "Get ready." You see some of the other character get equipment, many stick with their guns but you see several people go for bird shot.

Anything you want to get to fight the firebird?

You go to the armory and get the Benelli shotgun that Ace was showing you last time, as well as some birdshot to shoot from it. You then follow the rest of the squad into the jetcopter and take off. A few hours later, you reach a snowy wooded area, which you fly over as you speak.

"Should be an easy mission" Ace said, as he drove the copter and the side started to open, kind of like a car door, at the push of a button. Another slide happened, as a turret came next to the door, like some kind of puzzle. "We won't even need to leave the jetcopter, if we are lucky!"

"Way to jinx us..." Jenny said, as your gunner got into place. Ace continued, after mumbling something under his breath. "First we will try to just shoot it down from our copter. It is the size of a turkey, so that might not be possible. If that doesn't work, we will all go hunting on foot. It's abilities are unknown, but it shouldn't be able to do anything we can't handle. So lets start!"

After a few minutes, the gunner started firing. You went out to look what he was shooting at. A bright bird, that looks like it was painted with some kind of glowing rainbow color. It almost appeared as if the colors where shifting, as it flies pretty close to your copter. The gunner cusses as he shoots at it, getting close but not getting any hits. The bird flies, almost ignoring him. A few minutes later, the bird flies down into the forest, as a single multicolor feather comes up into the chopper. "Looks like we are going in on foot, since our gunner here can't hit the baud side of a barn..." Ace stated, as the copter began to transform again. "Well if Yall would keep the copter straight, maybe I could hit something! But I doubt yall even know what straight is...." your gunner started, as you prepare to descend.

Ace then throws down a ladder, sending out the gunner, then going to a different location. He sent out another man, did the same thing, and eventually set you out. "We circled him in" Ace explains, over the communicator. "I will keep 'em in this area, shoot him out of the sky for me!"

How do you want to go about hunting the firebird?

Ace nods in agreement. "Yes, that is a lot more possible, I suppose" he started. "But the windows are bulletproofed and they have placed marksmen in it, and there is only one window on the top floor large enough to fit a man through. We could get into it, but we would have to fight our way through, and we have no idea where it would lead..."

"I like the idea," Artemis said, as she holds her gun casually, "It would be unexpected, at the very least. They don't have any automatic weapons up there, and we could always go back out. Besides, we have not gotten to fight as a squad in a while!"

"Fine" Goldman said, "Your plan it is then. We are coming up on the building. Charlie, I will take the plane back, I think your heavy weapons will assist them more then my ranged ones."

The jetcopter comes up to a building much like the one described, right at the front of it. It was noticeable that there had been some work done, what could have been a professional looking building now looks like something a child had attempted to do, with concrete dripping down the roof and windows being plugged up. There where soldiers visible in the top floor, thru a large window in the center of the top floor. The copter headed toward the top floor, with the side opening in preparation for the docking. "Charlie, hot potato!" Goldman said, as he put the copter into position. Charlie pulled out a grenade from a pocket around his waist, pulled the pin, and threw it in a high arc. The grenade explodes next to the window, throwing glass over the surprised insurgents, injuring them a lot. Goldman then pulled up close to the building, as you and the rest of the squad jump threw the hole where the window once was. You end up in what looks like a tree house, around the room the snipers had holed themselves in was a plywood wall with a small trapdoor leading downward.

What do you do now?

You start to head toward the fire bird thru the forest as the sound of the helicopter gets further away. You continue walking with your gun ready, but see nothing for several minutes. You jump into read position when you hear a sudden voice in your head. "Hahaha you silly child" the voice states, somewhat musically in a female voice, "Fighting against me? This rabbit hole goes deeper then you think. The fire bird always appears in someone else's legend, rarely my own..."

As the voice cuts off, you hear the sound of a shotgun going off to your right side, far away. The helicopter's sound gets louder, as the fire bird flies over you. You fire at it, but you are unfamiliar with the shotgun, and miss twice. The fire bird flies by you at a high speed, almost like a jet, with the helicopter behind it, blazing it's own guns. You continue walking, hearing another burst of fire to your left, then ahead of you. You think the fire bird is going around in a circle.

What do you do now? You could continue circling in, which means you and the guys will get more shots at it, but the fire bird is difficult to hit. You could think of another way to defeat it, but that would ruin the current formation. What do you do?

---------------------------

You look down the trapdoor, only seeing a latter and the concrete floor below. You hurry down the latter with your revolver drawn, going into combat position once you hit the ground. On your right is a machine gun nest, with a heavy gun positioned over some sand bags with three troops behind it. You act quickly, firing two bullets at the surprised cultist, hitting the one at the controls twice. He goes limp over the machine gun as the other two get into combat positions. You fire another bullet skimming one of the others, when behind you there was the sound of three rounds firing. One of the cultists fell over dead. Behind you, Artemis was aiming her weapon. You fire once more, this time getting a direct hit to the cultist's head. You look around, now that the immediate threat is gone, as you reload your revolver. On the right, was the right entrance, with the machinegun nest at the corner to the hallway. To the left was another hallway, this one apparently having more twists, probably leading to the other entrance. Ahead of you was a third hallway, uncarpeted with cement floor with wooden doors on both sides. This is probably the path to take, you think.

Behind you, Artemis and Apollo are helping Charlie down the ladder. He is using a heavy machinegun, making movement a lot more difficult for him. He eventually makes it to the bottom, wielding his weapon with some difficulty, and goes over to the machine gun nest. "Won't want them getting their hands on this..." he says, as he takes the ammunition belts from the machinegun and throws them in his own backpack.

Ahead of you, you hear a noise in one of the doors. You quickly position yourself for assault, as the twins also get prepared. As you are ready to break down the door, you hear a half-crying plea threw the door. "Wait! Wait! Please don't kill me!" it says, as you relax your position. Apollo comes forward and kicks the door open, revealing a young looking man in what looks like an old-fashioned robe, maybe a snuggie. He is on his knees, with tears in his eyes, as he pleads for his life. "I...I didn't know what I was getting into!" He continues, "I...I just had some friends I was hanging out with! I didn't know we would do this!"

Charlie now comes up, setting his large gun down as he pulls out his side arm, a glock. "Well what do you think we should do with him?" Artemis asked. "We could capture him, but he would just slow us down if we took him. And he could escape if we just left him here, most likely just getting him freed..." "Or we could let him go" Apollo stated. "Look at him. He is no threat to us." "I say we shoot him." Charlie stated, pointing his gun for emphasis. "I don't want to risk innocent lives, this man could be brainwashed or mind controlled or something. Letting him live could come back to bite us."

What do you suggest?

Start by repairing the main tank gun, occasionally checking up on the fighting. If it's going well for us, start on the tank (movement a priority), but intervene if it looks like the chopper's about to lose.

Name: Johnathan Legrin
Age: 31
Equipment:Beretta 92 (2 clips), Calvary Saber, toolbox
HP: 7
Stats:
Int: 12
Str: 7
Agi: 11
Skills:Engineer(3), small arms(2), close combat (3)
Advantages: A tinker, Johnathan knows how to make stuff, and fix stuff, and was a fencer in his spare time, getting rather good at it.
Disadvantages: He's not used to guns, and doesn't like them, in addition to often having been thoroughly traumatized in New York.
Perks: He likes hiking and being in the outdoors, and so is used to being outside.
Quirks: He has a minor case of OCD. (What exactly said obsession/compusion is will be decided when it comes around to it.)
Bio: Working as an engineer at a New York-based company, he was among the first hit by the horde. He survived by using his wits to escape the quarantine zone, but was heavily traumatized- his family survived by virtue of being on the outskirts of the city. Before the change in his life, he had been born and raised in the south, though he moved to New York for his job, where he would later meet his wife. He also picked up fencing while in college, and continued the hobby until now, at which point he's found a practical use for it.
-----------------------------------

You repair the tank gun, using your tools and parts from the other artillery pieces. It ends up taking you about the half an hour that you expected, while gunfire, dragon fire, and explosions where going on outside. You check up on your buddies every once and a while, and while they are not winning, they are managing to stay alive. The Zemy looks like it has some kind of magical shield around it, sparkling when it gets hit. You begin to start on the engine and other parts, when everything starts to go your way. It isn't as damaged as you had first thought, and you had a few strokes of brilliance repairing it. You manage to get it ready in half the time you thought it would take, about an our. Vlad had run out of rockets and resorted to throwing rocks and insults, while the helicopter's guns seem desperate somehow. The Zemy looks like it had managed to singe the copter a few times, nothing serious but enough that you will have work when you get back.

You quickly call your allies on your communicator to inform them that you had found and repaired the tank, and they head toward your position to join you. Vlad sprints toward you, the Zemy doing a kind of bombing run behind him as it spits fire in a neat line. He makes it unharmed, giving some relived noises once he makes it into the garage. The helicopter lands on the roof of the garage, and there is a small explosion making a hole. The copter's ladder goes threw the hole, as the two men in the helicopter hurry down to join you. You all get into the tank and prepare for combat.

How do you want to try and fight the Zemy?

The group mumbles in agreement, scrambling around for something to tie him up with. Charlie decides it would be best to tie him up with his own robe, and he rips it into a usable rope as the rest of the group returns to the hallway. You start to hear shouting and marching coming from the left entrance, as well as fainter sound coming from deeper in the building.

Now you can stay here to fight the new comers. It might mean that the cultists ahead of you get more time to prepare, but you get the threat behind you dealt with. You could go foreword, which might mean you get hit behind by the other troops, but if you defeat the leader you might not have to fight them at all. You can also split up, which gives the advantages of both groups, but makes your group overall weaker. What do you do?

Let's split up. Charlie and I wills stay behind, the others go on ahead. His heavy weapons are more effective stationary, and I can give some covering fire and medical attention if needed after the firefight.
