Eh? I'm probably screwed and terribly so. The best possible scenario is that somehow, I'm allowed to retain the jarldom, although I would probably get displaced very soon after that. The more likely scenario is that I'm gonna get me head cut off followed by an Adranic invasion of the North. Oh and Osir is a terrible emissary, now that I might think of it.

As for the Haegar...well if you can somehow cause a Varagnian Guard situation then it would be in the kingdom's very best interest to get a group of Haegar on its side. If that is impossible, then it might be best to simple wall the North off. Literally. And burn every Haegar ship found.

1. Haegar and Adranics probably share the same kind of diseases as they have been in contact with each other for centuries.
2. There is no chance in hell of the Haegar peasantry believing the Adranics to be gods.
3. Adranics do not and cannot have gunpowder, due to the ~Rules~.
4. The North is a harsh mistress.

Basically make the Haegar into heavy auxiliaries in the army. Not exactly a VG situation, but close enough.

The Varangian Guard were a present to the Byzantine Emperor. He was gifted roughly 6.000 Vikings back then...they were his personal Guard and the most loyal of warriors of the Byzantine Empire.

Anyway a Varangian Guard situation propably applies to the 4th Crusade were Crusaders attacked Constantinople itself. While most of the military fled, the Varangians apparently defended the Walls alone and thus were the last to give up to the christian crusaders.

Propably just means that the Haegars should be used as our own Mercenary army/Personal guard -> what Harald already did
