In the interest of keeping this alive, I would like to raise the question of appointing or finding a replacement GM.
Shoot is busy as we know and he cannot take care of all the plot hooks. I can GM, but my capacity to post will be diminished too, as my essays are looming on the horizon.

Do we want to go by internal recruitment/reccomendation, or are there any volunteers? Or perhaps there are interested and competent outsiders? Raise your voice guys, YaK is far from sinking.

Sorry, but maybe. Working drom 1700 to 1530 has that effect. I might do a few Gm posts here and there, but apart from that...

If you judge me competent enough, I could do it.

I could do some GM'ing. My writing isn't the best, but it might be enough. Of course we should probably find someone else first.

Well. Yak is a fascist corporate controlled entity semi-democratic, so I think we should have a vote on IRC, freenode.net, #yak3 . This would let everyone talk about whoever they want to ruin it, or why they should ruin it.

Shootandrun seems a bit busy, atm, as well, and it sorta hinges on him.

Or we could just vote on the OOC thread, here, which seems better, in hindsight.

So, here is a tentative Character sheet. What do you guys think?

Player:Sheb

Name: Ascalon of Minstead

Position: Socman of Minstead (Fluff)

Appareance:With his small stature and bald head, Ascalon look more the part of a craftman than that of a knight. A long scar across his right cheek is the only witness of the many battle he took part in.

Bio: Ascalon was one of old King Arvin's captains. For his liege, he fought in many battles, and some said that it was his tactical leadership that gave House Conricht the throne. After his liege's death, he removed himself from politics, disgusted by the Iron Queen's methods. He lost most of the land he had won in the War, giving vast swathe of land to various temples and loosing even more by the Queen's confiscation until only the old family hamlet of Minstead was left.

Ascalon would have been ready to live through a quiet and forgotten old age, until came the news of the Haegar massing north of the border. Ascalon knew of the fate those barbarians would reserve to the good people of Windheath should they ever cross the border. Raising to his duty, the old knight dusted his old war-harness and rode with his greying squire for one last feat of arm.

Traits: Tactic I, Offensive Strategy I, +1 Bonus when fighting with a weapon.

Ugh, the siege starts when we're not even finished with speaking about setting defenses.

Perfect. Now to rely on NPCs for aid. :/

Richard is your only hope, really... Though Sigurd might do something brash depending on how things go, both due to his personal ambitions and his debt to you, which he seemingly intended to honor.

Personally visiting my lands? I am deeply honored.

They even brought their ceremonial blades, shields and other equipment!

And yet nobody responded but one Mercenary group, nobody at all! Yay!

Let's do this.

Hey, I'd be up there, but the regent wanted me to deal with Parnoth. Not that I'd make enough of a difference on my own.

Do I know about the siege already or not just yet? I want to send another letter, but after lack of reply last time, we are already heading into one big pile of confussion.

I've sent messengers to the surroundings lands, and one secret messenger to Stormstead detailing my progress but holding the same words as was in the spoiler, so yes I think you do know about the coming already-here siege. But due to the weather, I'm not sure anyone fighting in the South knows about it.

Taricus you coward. We're left alone as nobody rolled for allies, and it all depends on Osir and his hungry horde of Haegar now.

Blegh. Mercenaries. :/

Hey, my lot aren't good in a stand-up fight, not in their current state.

Besides, a foe is much easier to kill if he's facing away from you ;)
