The Commander of a small mercenary group that's based in the duchy of Spirituaser that's been around for a decade atleast. Mostly been living off protection jobs for one or two villages. The group has bveen generally loyal to Spirituaser's de jure rulers
Adrien is a well built man, with most of his skin displaying faint bulges of muscle. His his wiry frame reaches up to about 180cm, His head sporting a pair of blue eyes while sprouting brown hair from his scalp. Adrien usually wears a set of padded leather armour with a pair of metal pauldrons, painted blue in idolisation of the blauritter, and wields a large danish axe in combat.
He has never known his mother, though his father, Guillaume, has been a constant presense in Adrien's life, teaching the boy to hold a weapon and the art of command. While the weapon lessons have stuck as well as they should, Guillaume would be proud to see how his child is able to command the Drakefangs. Guillaume himself was a reknowned warrior, serving under the conrichts in the war of the hounds. Whilst he was always a sergeant within the army, the man himself slayed many hundreds of men during the war, capable of taking a charging knight down as easily as taking the life of a conscript. Guillaume has left a legacy that Adrien has aspired to follow along with his fellow mercenaries
The group found itself short of protection work about three years prior Ursula's ascension to the throne of Spirituser, With Duc Mathias able to properly control the bandits and marauders at bay, thus the group started taking work elsewhere, such as caravan protection (Despite the relative little trade the city saw due to the iron queen's taxation)
When the new ruler ascended, they experienced a small period of staying under the radar, reappearing after the recent shenanigans with the nobles. During Stoneson's reign, the group stayed put within the region. Up until Duc Tengrim was on the seat of the duchy. The mercenaries have once again become active, sensing a profit to be made within these dark times. The group itself does not trust the new duc however, due to rumours that he was involved in killing the last ruler of the duchy.
The group itself, called the Drakefangs, is relatively small, numbering around sixteen soldiers with Adrien included. The armament within the unit is varied, wth swords, spears, axe and bows in the same unit, along with a couple of horsemen. The unit is fairly irregular with it's armour, the only identifying mark between the members is a piece of metal armour, usually a pauldron or gauntlet, with the group's emblem marked on it, making it difficult for new members and outsiders to identify them.
The group inhabits a formerly abandoned fort on the river border or Spirituaser. within the island's southern forest. The fort's existance is not common knowledge, being all but forgotten over the years and overgrown by vegetation. The fort itself is now reletively fixed for it's new inhabitants, providing a safe shelter for them.
