Are our units traveling over-ground to get to our launch tube? We should dig a tunnel to connect it to our main base, with explosives planted to collapse it if need be and several decoy tunnels resembling collapsed tunnels leading out from it in various directions.

Found the human antivirus's quarantine folder, have we? That could certainly be useful.
Useful as a baseline. Keep in mind that the viruses in quarantine are the ones that got caught.

We discovered them while digging out our expansion tunnels, so I suppose the connections are underground.

Also, while a game based virus is nice, there ain't much games played on sattelite control systems and other important targets. We should also design a sort of DDOS virus. Forgoing all ideas of stealth, this thing should just overwhelm all communications and antiviri by sending thousands of copies of itself an rapidly restarting. shuttind down systems.

Usefull if we want to shut down human comms completly, to prevent ourselves from being discovered from some reason.

Have we researched  the magnetic field shield yet? It won't be as stealthy as I like (the magnetic field shows up on scans), but it would cloack everything under it. The humans would know something is there, but they don't know what. We could also insert dummies, reducing the chance of them bombarding the right target.

The above should only be build whenever we want to do our first attack.

Underground route.

Appropriate tunnels are being built, as is a vehicle storage bay. Multiple blast doors and security interlocks will be created. The notes for explosives and decoy tunnels will be added to the design. As it stands, the projected internal defense is going to involve acid showers, internal fortifications, and weapon emplacements, as well as some very very long heat diversion tunnels several miles in the opposite direction of the Hive, a concealed silo/vehicle platform dug into the tubes, and the standard countermeasures in the Sensory Array.

There are, indeed, very few games played on dedicated consoles, but many humans have portable drives and small computers which are plugged into weak spots in the network. Holes are inevitable in any security system, and We are seeking to exploit every possible hole. A popular game will spread everywhere and likely be snuck onto work computers for late-night gaming sessions.

Obviously, said virus/AI would remain docile until the proper signal was given. No shield tech has been developed yet, and We can go with gravity-based shields or magnetic. Failing that, We can manufacture a large amount of anti-kinetic armor plates and install them into the earth.

awesome, lets become Mars number one game company (in secret)

should spread the virus around a good bit with that plan.

on top of that, consider installing a system for rapidly moving new rockets into the launch chamber, it would be preferable if we could destroy multiple targets in under 30 minutes.

Sadly, you're never going to get your virus in dedicated military recon sats (of which, considering the nature of humanity, there are going to be a few). Those sats most likely have a semi-closed circuit, responding only to dedicated commands, no way we're going to sneak a virus in there.

Having a virus using a feedback system to DDOS communications would work better.

I'm pretty sure the launch center is meant for large Saturn V like rockets, not for smaller short range rockets. (Ie, liquid fuel rockets oposed to solid fuel ones). Considering Mars has got not enough oxygen anyway, solid fuel ones wouldn't work anyway. Our Pollen fuel seems to burn well on it's one though, so it probably doesn't need oxygen that much, or provides it itself. Liquid fuel has the advantage over solid fuel that it is more energetic and controllable, but more dangerous to store, meaning that leaving fueled rockets in storage would be very dangerous, therefore preventing a fast loading system. If, of course, the pollen fuel would be safe to store in the rockets, a fast launching system would work.

We are planning on blowing up the satellites, so We don't care so much about infecting them so much as waiting for the Ai/Virus to gather information, infect a relevant computer system, and screw things up for about ten minutes while we launch the Anti-Sat Rocket and wait. In other words, We don't yet know the best way to completely wreck things is or what is and is not on or offline at any given moment. We have a whole week or so of production before the soonest possible launch time, so simply spreading the infection and waiting is the best idea.

Meta-note:
DDoS is only one part of this. Kai computer tech is ridiculously advanced compared to Human tech; after all, the Kai managed to circumvent all security and piggyback aboard the biggest, highest-privilege overseeing system. It's not currently hooked into any military networks, and the room in which to operate and remain undetected is small, but even without a virus, we could cause some serious problems.

As far as the virus... simply because it starts in a game doesn't mean it's going to stay there and not quietly spread.  It works kind of like the Kai - one copy is stupid. A hundred copies are collectively very intelligent. It is entirely possible for the Virus to, say, get in the computers involving air scrubbing, power generation, and the like; any of those going down will be a serious problem.

A modular, evolving virus... Great. Those tend to be very hard to detect and decipher. The only thing they will be able to do is quarantine parts when they detect them.

Btw, fire controls are the best, Blast doors, Co bombing rooms, and oping airlocks.

So uh, actions? :)

If there are none, I will simply go with

You - Improve M-LSD with improved propulsion systems / Design Mechanical Hunter-Killer Drone
Tech Drone - Oversee machinery production for vehicles, rocket parts, computers, etc
Drones - Assist the Tech Drone / Assist the Digging Drones / Do Nothing
NavDrones - Virus AI
Digging Drones - Prepare Launch Area
Soldiers - Do Nothing / Gather Material
MLSD - Patrol

Yeah, that's most gof what'll happen.

We also need toconstruct weaponry and drop vehicles. The sattelite bombing will allow us to do a nice first strike.

Alsgo, artillery. Design And build some. Ballistic shells with gliding wings And controls systems, sothat they can trace us easily.

Fourth, cryh systems. We want to be able tofreeze parts of the hive, most importantly predators

If we establish friendly contact with the humans by "Eliminating" the virus, we could infiltrate them, then collapse their systems again, but coordinate it with a massive attack from within.

Use stolen tech to create proto-combat bot, after successful tests add a bit of your tech.

The NavDrones design a game based on military conquest of the planet, using Human-designed signatures from the tactical section. It offers play based in a variety of modes and player options, allowing macro and micro command down to the smallest drone. It is dumped in the captive Human computer network, minus the AI/Virus and you Whisper to Stampy that his party should play, sending in several Soldiers to guard them. Before much longer, You see the Humans making pleased faces, and whisper another query to Stampy. You feel a vague sense of irritation, glee, and competitiveness, and deduce that the Humans are actually going to enjoy the game.

In the meantime, of course, you have work to do, and include the Magnetohydrodynamic Propulsion System into the design of the M-LSD, building one by hand. Before long, it is completed, and Your tests of the Drone indicate that the additional power requirements slightly decrease the rate of fire with a significant increase in speed. You adapt and improve the Human Railgun technology into the Drone, adding a pair of tailcannons and frontcannons, and test again. While it is now only slightly faster and lacks cargo space due to the ammunition requirements, the Drone's performance has been considerably increased. You designate the craft as a Mechanical Light Killer Drone, and launch it around on patrol.

Next is the matter of heavy artillery. Shells come first, and you mix up some high explosives. With this being done, you design and create an Anti-Personnel Guided Cluster Shell, followed by several variants - Chemical, Incendiary, and Anti-Armor. You still lack the appropriate Heavy Artillery, but that can be solved easily. You pull all Basic Drones and work at designing the Heavy Artillery, and after working through most of the night, We complete it, mount it, and begin test-fires.

All but the Anti-Armor perform admirably - the Anti-Armor shell simply fails to penetrate the test armor.

Oh well.

It is halfway through the night. It is time to choose which eggs to lay or absorb. You have no idea which of the 80 spores generated by the two aboveground Sporifers will survive, but expect it shall succeed well. Obviously, only two of the Queen's Flowers in the new chamber will survive.

20 Drone Eggs (Gen 1)
16 Flying Drone Eggs (Gen 1)
17 Soldier Eggs (Gen 1)
12 Flying Soldier Eggs (Gen 1)
4 Predator Eggs (Gen 1)
2 Nurse Egg (Gen 1)
2 Commander Egg (Gen 1)

I like the idea of gravitic shielding. But stealth-gear for predators would also be nice...

Hatch these:
8 drones
8 soldiers
2 predators
2 commanders
1 Nurse
Recycle the rest...
