Hahahaha Bow ambush, excellent.  :)

The bad news bears are even more excellent.

And somehow I'm still alive.  It's like dwarven survivor.  Who is gonna be the last voted off the mortal coil.

Well, you're actually dead. I stopped reporting and taking pictures of the deaths because there were so many of them, haha. There are eighteen dwarves left, with just three of them having a nickname. Iago is one of them, and the other two were not you - I remember you being found in your bed, dead and dehydrated.

Final diary of Nerjin [Weak scratches on the paper show the failing health of the author]

It is better this way. Despite my best efforts I failed the fort. So many died during my reign. I have done good... But the evil I commited is just too great. Even if there were water I would not drink it. To whomever finds this, please offer my body to a beast. I deserve no grave. I deserve to be purged from this earth. Nothing but bones. Tell Dusty that I apologize for breaking his blood bottle. But abomonations such as us don't deserve to live. I wish you all the best of [the writing stops here.]

If we do this, I call a marksdwarf at embark.

Well my shrivelled husk requests re-dwarfing upon survival and migrants, or reclaim, or reclaim migrants.

Same as before but Neotemplar II.
Beekeeper, pick wielder, gender ambiguous.

At least the buildings will be usable on reclaim.

Don't kill the fort, Aless. You can't have all the fun to yourself!

Haven't unpaused since the ambush announcement. Here's a list of people alive, if anyone is interested:

Named Dwarves:

Iago, Chief Medical Dwarf and Grand Master Carpenter.
Felcis, Great Animal Trainer.
Broken, Great Suturer/Wound Dresser and Slayer of the Great Evil (that bear).

Unnamed Dwarves:

Catten the Woodcutter
Zaneg the Stoneworker
Mistem the Animal Trainer
Zan the Metalsmith
Tekkud the Armorer
Tholtig the Metalcrafter
Stukos the... expedition leader??? (Definitely not one of the original seven) (actually a Great Weaponsmith)
Minkot the Jeweler
Lokum the Glassmaker
Etur the Woodcrafter
Fath the Brewer
Lorbam the Milker
Lor the Potash Maker
Avuz the Presser
Alath the Engineer

Alath is actually called PBT, and he's the sheriff :-)

I have one season left, assuming anyone survives the kobolds. I'll dwarf you ASAP.

If the armorer is female, I'll take them if they can be repurposed as a clothier (Flamey, Clothesmaster).

In this time of great need, socks are certainly the priority.

Edit: I really love how I've had 150-dwarf fortresses without a single armorer/weaponsmith/metalworker migrant, but this place already has four when they'll be mostly useless.

Blood.
It Is Everywhere. The Vermin Is Well Armed Against Us. Copper Or Even Silver Spears.
An Additional Squadron. All With Swords. Well Played Worms.
One Crawls Among Us Now. Who Can Stop Him? No One Knows.
Three Remain, Two Crawl Away. Cowards. One Fights On, Severing Beards At Will. Can Two Wrestlers Win?
A Thief In The Confusion. Lower Priority.
All Have Fled. Three Lie Dead:

Catten The Woodcutter
PaintbrushTurkey The Sheriff
Felcis The Animal Trainer

A Caravan. With It, Hope Or Death. Time Will Tell.

Out Of Fifteen, Two Are Able To Walk.

Iago Lies In Bed, Despite The Mildest Of Wounds.

Miraculous Recoveries. Now There Are Seven Mobile Dwarves.

With A Bitter Chill, Winter Arrives.
By Midwinter, Broken Is Dead From Thirst.
Worse, A Giant Jumping Spider Named Powerbones Has Slain Fath The Brewer.
Mistem The Marksdwarf Has Died Of Thirst.
Zan The Metalsmith Has Died Of Thirst.
Zaneg The Stoneworker Has Died Of Thirst.
The Diplomat Has Abandoned Us, At Long Last.
Stukos The Weaponsmith Has Been Found Dead, Dehydrated.
The Animals Breed Almost Faster Than They Die. 9 Dwarves Remain In Mid-Winter.
The Fruits Of Our Otherworldly Labor.

Etur The Woodcrafter Has Been Stricken By Melancholy.
late winter four thieves worth chasing no
one dwarf has a nonworking arm another is suicidal back to basics with seven

So there you have it, folks. My turn's finally done. Sorry it took a long time, but I'm a slow player. Good luck Thorick, you're up next.
