It is now summer!
The first thing you do, is to send the food downstreams in ships to sell your food in the cities. It takes a while, since you do not have any big ships of your own. But it turns out that most of the peasants near the city had a bad harvest. And you are able to sell your food at a slight overprice. (175 gold coins) This occupies your servants for most of the summer.A few of the villiages around you have accepted your proposal regarding your mill. And you will get a small increase in food produktion next harvest.
You decide that it is time for you to take a squire and some pages. Pages will flock to you from small but rich families, so that wonīt be a problem at all. You just have to state how many you wont. (More pages means more servants and reputation, but higher cost.)
Regarding the squire, you have a few choices, you could either:
Take one from your own population. This whould highly increase their lojalty to you, but nobles might complain.
Take a relative to the Baron under your wing. This will strengthen the relations between you and and the baron.
Take a relative to one of the nobles in the area. (If you pick this decision I will tell you about the families in a miniupdate)
Other- If you have another idea, do tell.
The inn is finished, and will give you more coins as your reputation grows higher. However, your servants are busy trading this summer, and do not have the time build more buildings. But they are becoming more skilled builders. If you want to, you could specialise them, making them faster builders but not able to do any other occupations.
Your soldiers caught one of the peasants stealing from the granary! What punishment does he deserves?
In the end a few refugees arrives from the villages upstream. They claim that a relative small warband is pillaging upstream. They are around 20 bandits. How will you react?
