The next session is going to be fucking crazy.  I'm using a maptool framework that should cut the time it takes to fight by a big degree.

I'll have to import your characters myself though, so I guess I'll do that real quick.

Alright, it's done.  Took probably an hour to put everybody in but it was worth it for how much it cuts down on fight times, there's detailed macros for all the powers and all of that but since it was a parser converting power cards into macros a few of them are wonky.

I ran a test fight, had everybody go one on one in turn.  Droogh killed Stonepenis, Dorf killed Droog, Wizard killed dorf, wizard's lover killed wizard

Unfortunately, it looks like the game doesn't like custom monsters.  The big fancy boss fights will have to be done the old way unless I can figure out why it's acting a fool.

EDIT:  Apparently it's just this one guy the parser is having trouble with.

He's THAT powerful.  No parser can hold him.  and no, I don't know what I'm talking about.

edit-I was going over peoples sheets so I could copy paste there names in my companion section, and I found a problem with The goliath.  Under your armor check pentalty thing you put 3 instead of -3 which boosted skills it should of.. not boosted.  Thought I'd point that out.

Some fluff for Droogh

Droogh was born to a small, but successful tribe of orcs that lived in the hills of the mainland. He was the child of an orc father, the brother of the chieftain, and a human mother slave. Even though he was a half orc, he was raised as a pure orc. He took his place among the other orc young, learning how to use weapons, getting into fights, and practicing hunting and surviving in the wilds. He grew up worshiping Issatur, the fiery god. Despite his impure heritage, he proved to be just as strong as the other orcs, and a little more nimble too, if not quite as bulky. He soon proved himself as a capable warrior growing up, and favored the great sword as a weapon.

As he came of age though, there were a few other hints of differences between Droogh and the other orcs. Every once in a while, he would show signs of compassion rarely seen in the orcs. In particular, he used his position as the nephew of the chieftain to make sure his human mother was treated well. He occasionally also did favors for the slaves, getting them more food every now and then. As it so happened, being better fed helped the slaves to work harder, with fewer insubordinations, which landed Droogh as a position as slave keeper.

He also occasionally had a practical intelligence from time to time.  He learned that slaves, while largely ignored, heard much in the camp. With a bit of extra food or rum, they were often willing to talk about what they heard. He heard of a small group of the orcs were dissatisfied with worshiping the fiery god. They planned to overthrow the chieftain and turn the tribe back to the worship of the ancient gods of the aboleths. Droogh wasn’t about to let this happen, and hunted down the traitorous orcs, after informing his uncle about them.

Needless to say a fierce battle erupted. At the end, the cultists were dead. As Droogh recovered, he vowed vengeance against the aboleths, and all who would follow them and their gods. After he could walk again, he took his sword and set out, feeling he was called by Issatur to destroy all the servants of the aboleths he could find.

It's pretty easy to assume that the characters have all swapped some stories by now. Here is the dorf's tale:

Anakha Beerbarrel was born 150 years ago, to a family of fifth-generation brewers living in the hills near Crestport. The Beerbarrel family was not one of the great clans from the mountainhomes, but their product was nevertheless of reasonable quality and they made a decent living selling booze to local taverns. When Anakha was born, his father looked forward to teaching him, the only son, all the tricks of the trade.

The gods had other plans, however. When his beard first began growing in, everyone was astonished to see that it was pure silver in color, none more so than young Anakha himself! Everyone knew what this meant; according to his clan's legends, a silver beard was a sign from Abnuir, singling him out as a potential runepriest. He was taken away from his family to the mountainhome of Thurgim and trained in the secret art of runesmithing for decades. When he finally mastered the basics of his craft, he was given the honorary name "Silverpelt" and sent into the world to continue his training.

As a runepriest, Anakha wanders the world, doing occasional odd jobs like enchanting or fending off petty criminals. His time among the other races has tempered his dwarven tendency towards seclusion, though he still prefers to travel alone or in small groups.

Mother was an apostate, ran away with my dad, a guard, he's dead.  I'm not from here. That's all you need to know.

Is everybody else gonna post backgrounds?  The more detailed they are, the more personal the campaign can be.

Character backgrounds eh? Alrighty then, I hope you don't mind if I take a bit of artistic free reign over the manner of how magic is used/enforced in the game?

Aramil, when asked about his background, is quiet for a moment, as if he is comtemplating the answer, before answering in a resolute voice. He was born 19 years ago in Southport, his father was a retired adventurer and his mother, and he quotes this dryly, was the village horse that stuck with his father when she got pregnant and caused him to retire lest she send bounty hunters after him to bring him back. His family was well off for awhile compared to a lot of others in that time, and as he was being raised, he took an interest in the finer arts, namely education and it's uses. His father however was also a drunkard and was prone to fits of anger when dipping too much into the drink, and his mother was of no use as she basically was leeching off his father for money, and neither really supported his interests all that much. Aramil does not continue into the topic of his parantage further, and avoids it upon further questioning.

One day, one of the crown wizards and a local priest made their yearly rounds through the city, searching for youths that had a talent for magic or the holy arts, and as he had recently come of age, he was required to take part in their tests. As it turned out, he has quite the talent for magic, especially for finer manipulations of magical energy. He was very lucky that day to find out that a wizard that was living near the city was also available for taking on an apprentice, and he was taken on at the age of 10 by a wizard that was also a retired adventurer, albiet a more sucessful one, and Aramil left his family in order to learn the arcane arts.

His tution was eventful as well as insightful, as his master knew the value of practical uses of magic and knowledge and had him often practice his arts 'in the field' after properly learning them. He was also versed in the ways of nature, and was often sent out into the wilderness alone for days at a time in order to gather large amounts of ingredients in a single go, as well as perform various other tasks.

After 9 years of hard work, learning, sweat, blood and tears, he was pronounced ready to leave the service of his master in order for him to learn magic on his own, before most likely returning some time later to serve the crown in some manner. He was given some basic supplies by his master, and Aramil left Southport and never looked back.
