Not continuing the argument, TK. I have before, and it only ended up with me hating the forums in their entirety.

As for me and Azthor, in a fight without magic I'd be the strongest. But in a fight where we get to use what we have, we'd either both die, or one of us would die. In one case, I'd just stab him with elementals attacking him. In another, he'd pile corpses on top of me until I fell to peer pressure and became just like the people he surrounded me with.

It's mostly just an issue of taste. Unless it's a goal of the game itself, I usually won't approve of genocide, wars, or world destruction. But since you're talking about wanting to do it so soon into the game, it comes off, to me, as an attempted abuse of game mechanics.
Again, let's not continue to argue. We're both disgruntled with each other, so why not be disgruntled together?
I don't think he either plans or it is possible for him to do it early in the game.  There's no harm in him making plans for early, since he probably needs to if he's going to have any chance whatsoever, which chances are he really doesn't have one unless he gets ridiculously lucky.

I personally don't have a problem with him trying to pull off a doomsday device as it's most likely going to fail anyway.

Unless it involves owlbears.

Then he's going down.

It is alive! Well... More or less, but it will have to do (...)

I swear, I'm going to...

My distaste for the stuff came from a forum game where a player started posting these long-winded IC threats, then called them OOC when myself and someone else said we'd go after his character if he didn't knock it off. It didn't help that the GM wasn't stepping in when he started giving the "OOC" threats.
Anyway, I'd at least like to be given the dignity of having the world's downfall be made a secret if you're going to try and do it.
Not only am I not threatening other players, but nearly all of my posts legitimately regarding this plan have been OOC.

But that's fine, sure. I was dropped into a forest tower, with no conflict in sight and thus no goals. I guess I'll just remain that way, and my character will atrophy as he sits there doing nothing, because, in your opinion, it's in bad taste to query the GM about or otherwise discuss potential goals.
That's fine.
His problem was less the fact that you are doing so and more the fact that you are bandying it about like "Hey Look at Me!  I'm gonna destroy the world!  Oh, but I said it OOC so you can't do anything about it!"
Note:The above statement was from his point of view which is completely legitimate considering his past experiences.

This proves my theory.

Everyone is on the other side of the world.  :'(

So what was discussed on the past ~5 pages (using standard forum format) is all OOC right? I've lost track of some of the characters.

Assuming you mean the last 5 page in this thread...yes?

Isn't it surprising that quite a number of the posts in the OOC Thread are OOC?  :o

Well, Dwarmin and I are in Engosul, which is the northern-most human settlement and a port town, I believe. I think Tiruin is also in Engosul, or at least nearby.

If you are about to attack me, make that incredibly lame. It goes without saying that super Chompski, the 4th level gnomish wonder, has severely worn Melritch out.

Not to mention we're both summoners who have no AoE or healing capabilities. Or the ability to reliably restore our mana in battle. My only advantage is that I have legitimate armor.

...and that Melritch has been worn down the gnome.

But, honestly, an intelligent magic user wouldn't wait for their opponent to refresh themselves anyways. Strike while the iron's hot, amirite?

No, your only advantage is that your mana is full.

I'm summoning as many elementals as I can then entering, so I may or may not be at full once our Battle to the Lame starts.
