Sorry I wasn't on the past two days, but I'll probably be on for a good bit later today.
Just out of curiosity...
Suppose I were to acquire a bear, and an owl. Now, I'm not suggesting anything to trite as the creation of an owlbear, but let's just use those an example. What would I need to do, in order to create an amalgamation of the two? A blending, perhaps. We'll call it a bearowl.
Suppose I wanted to do this with any two creatures? Or if I wanted to take a creature, and modify it. Say, give it magical abilities or some-such.
That's a bit advanced, so that would be for Ezriel to figure out.
Although, it'd be safe for you to assume it would require at least a small amount of EP.
And, as far as creating weapons of magical mass destruction go. How about that? Like, if I wanted to modify the telescope so that I can cast spells over a wide-swath of area. Maybe not just for destructive purposes, I'm sure some druid could use it to end a drought or something.
Same answer goes for this, although; While the Telescope idea is a good one, it'd require a lot of EP and probably wouldn't be very cost effective at all. The greater the distance a spell (Or object/creature being teleported) has to travel, the more energy it would consume, and large distances do cost a lot more magical energy than you'd probably expect. They could make for good
defensive weapons though, just casting the spells right into the forest outside of the tower for instance, would be a lot less costly.
