Completely ignoring the merchants, Ba said "I'm going behind the hub. I saw something hiding over there last night. Is anyone else going?"

Ba'gandi clearly wanted to get away from the merchants, and decided that he may as well investigate behind the hub while he was at it. He'd still go alone if only to be far away from the merchants.

Action: Investigate behind the hub.

((Unless someone can suggest another action this is what Ba will do, even if it is kind of dangerous to leave new mercs that you don't know alone.))

As she continues back twoards her room Cicatrix passes the form that said it was heading behind the Hub to investigate. Her mana-scans reveal that whoever this person happened to be, he is physically powerful and well armed. Cicatrix is quite unsure of this fellows species... and the question had been nagging her since she had started traveling with the group.

Cicatrix aproaches Ba'gandi, flanked by her three corpse golems. "Excuse me... sir? You are the one who was going to investigate behind the hub, right? I'm sorry if this comes across as rude, but could you tell this poor blind elf exactly what you are?"

Ba was rather surprised by the question, but being blind would certainly make it hard to realize what one was.

"The merchants called us Gnolls, but personally I could care less of what they call us. We call ourselves Redbacks for our red fur... You said that you need an axe. May I ask what for?"

Cicatrix nods. "Ah. Okay. I've known a Gnoll or two, but not since loosing my vision. I have to feel around with Manna to perceive the world, so I can navigate well enough, but detail such as discerning some races eludes me. As for the axes..." the high elf gestures to the three undead at her side, each carrying a dull, dented, and cracked iron sword. "My creations are in dire need of new weapons. I figure axes come with the added bonus of letting them do some woodcutting on the side. I was actually going to check whats back there out myself once I got my escorts properly armed. If you care to wait a bit we could go together."

Lady Greenflower flashes a disarming smile before continuing. "If you want to head into the forest and gather some plants or corpses while that other lady and I deal with these bloody ripoff merchants I would be most grateful. I practice both the magics of life and death, so I can find a profitable or practical use for almost anything living or once living that you bring back. Heck, I could make you a nice bedroom like mine with just a few hand-fulls of living plant matter."

"I'm not sure if three axes are truly necessary if all you want them for is woodcutting, but that's up to you. I'll do some woodcutting while I wait if you think you can get some axes." Ba'gandi crossed his arms and tilted his head to one side. "Corpses on the other hand might be a challenge to find while chopping wood."

"Well, I guess I'm off to do a bit of woodcutting if someone can point me towards some trees," Ba continued to speak at a normal tone regardless of the fact that the merchants might possibly hear him, "but if you need corpses the merchants are just around the bend. And I'm sure no one would miss them. Heartless bastards..." He thought about it for a moment and said, "On second thought you'd probably want a corpse with some kind of skill. Pity."

((I can keep the merchant bashing up all day.))

Action: Find someone who has seen trees in the area and cut the trees down to size.

You were guarding the only entrance, so you know its location IC. Though you could always make Ba a character with no sense of direction if you really want to make his only way to travel be through scent.

(Seems I didn't put any actions. And sorry for RPless post. Busy.)

A caravan? Here? Must have came through another portal. Well it would be interesting to see what they had...

Forrel bowed as the merchant approached.

"Welcome sir, as you can see this castle is currently occupied, so I'm guessing you've either come here to trade or to escape the harsh reality of the world."

"So tell me, what wares do you bring? Weapons, food, religious items, furniture...What exactly? I can imbue them with spirits if you'd like. Except the food of course."

Ask them about their wares and offer to enchant their items for some payment. Also ask the new arrivals about where they came from and how it's going in the other world. Ask what the Titans are doing.

Spirits can be seen by anyone aware of them.

Cicatrix flashes a wide and charming smile. "I just need better weapons for them. Might as well pick weapons that will still be useful when I don't want something dead is all. I deployed one of my corpse golems yesterday and it came back with some weeds and flowers and whatnot. I'm pretty sure there is some plant-life right outside. There is plant life inside as well, but enough about the damn merchants..."

((Didn't realize that I was guarding the room with the trees and plant life.))

"Alright. Well, I'm off then. I'll bring back as much as I can carry." Ba walked away and headed towards the nearest source of trees.

You weren't guarding a room, you were guarding the only way in a road can take in front of the courtyard. I'm actually not dying for once, so expect an update sometime today.

    Brier
Brier remains in his state of unconsciousness, a schematic for a more durable Weave Cracker floating lucidly out of his unconscious mind's sight.
    Veranus Tigerclaw
Coughing down her last ration, the elf thinks proudly to herself that she no longer has to suffer such a bizarre humiliation. Her days of hunting can be brought back at any point she feels necessary.
Veranus has a small, uneventful chat with the husky merchant, and goes off to gather loose stones to try and shape. It takes several minutes to gather six moderate sized stones, and her average strength makes the task all the more tiresome. She was a warrior of the forest, not a bodybuilder like the wolf fellow. These jobs aren't suited to her talents.
Brushing aside her frustration at receiving no aid in moving the stones, Veranus begins her shaping. Having virtually no experience in the field of crafts, it comes as no surprise to her that four of the stones are crushed from the mere touch of mana. The remaining two stones are made into what several of the more feminine Runners refer to as "cute accessories." Whatever that could mean. The only thing cute Veranus has seen in her life are the children of her village and some of the children of the Runners.
Having no further use of her crafts, she hands them to the merchant to evaluate.
    Forrel de Yahmiz
Forrel tries to harass the merchants, but Ms. Tigerclaw already seems to already be occupying their time. How disappointing. He turn his attention, instead to the mercenaries. He asks about the outside world, and receives a stare that only the most confused of mercenary could hope to deliver. Tey tell him that operations outside the mana realm ended with their band years ago. Even the merchant cut off the physical realm from his route about a year ago, regardless of money it would cost him.
As the reptilian shaman's nosing around in their pasts escalated, a copy of a map of the continent everyone is currently on is handed, and the overexcited shaman is sent on his way without another word allowed. The rather hardcore leader chuckles at Forrel's plight, and says the mercenaries will be staying at the abandoned port town once the merchant leaves.
His curiosity dampened for now, Forrel wanders off to browse the wares of the merchants while they're busy with Ms. Tigerclaw.
    Cicatrix Greywood Greenflower
Having no immediate use for the bones she was given, Cicatrix animates them as cryptic cleaning supplies and awaits the fulfillment of a promise for more modest clothing to be delivered. While she waits, Cicatrix sates her desire to improve her haphazard way of sight by attempting to read books through touch.
Her plan goes surprisingly well. Of the books lying around she had picked up, she managed to learn how to read simple three letter words. What joy of joys she is blessed with. Three letter words are ever so plentiful and full of knowledge.
    Ba'gandi Kashi
Ba, keeping himself aware of the merc leader's movements, takes leave of the courtyard and begins a cautious stroll behind the floating 'hub' thing. A long trail leading into a rather large crater reveals a small shrine-like area in the center.
It is primarily wood, but surrounded by an elaborate stone court with a countless number of carvings of war, sacrifice, and a prevalent judge-like creature. It is found at the ends of the war carvings, and is the central motif of the sacrifice carvings. It is the only thing carved that has no key details. It's simply a hollowed out humanoid.
The shrine itself seems rundown and ready to collapse at any minute, but closer inspection reveals to Ba that the small "building" has no signs of collapsing at all. The featureless carving is featured on a stone inside the temple. The whole area begins to bother Ba, who leaves for the forest as requested by the necromancer.
It takes much longer to get back to the castle than it did to reach that shrine, and by the time the nervous wolfman reaches the complex again, any desire to gather wood is lost in favor of resting from that oddly horrifying experience.

Midday. RP time, interact with whoever or each other. Post your actions when you've had the chance to talk amongst each other.

You got seven zeros Dwarmin. The only reason I didn't count those was because dying from gathering and shaping smallish stones seemed stupid to me. What is wrong with your luck today?

Brier stirs slightly then bolts upright, holding his wrench close to his chest.
"And keep your foot of that blasted samophlange!"
He calms when he realizes that there is in fact, no foot on his samophlange. He stretches and decides to head to the courtyard to socialize before he goes back to work, even he can't be completely solitary.
He reaches the courtyard and notices the merchants. Thoughts of prefabricated cogs and springs immediately enter his mind.
"Hello... are you by chance selling any machine parts or sheet metal?"
as he speaks, he contemplates if he has anything that he could trade them for. Maybe some old baubles. Or that peculiar apple in that cold storage room.

As Forrel wandered off from the mercenaries, he wondered how many groups had entered the Realm of Mana and made it home? If they could get in, what was stopping Hyperion? That disturbed him.

Now he had time to look over the goods and see what was available. Weaponry, tomes, crafts and the such. All useful, but perhaps some imbuing was in order.

He shouted to the merchant:

"Oi, merchant! Do you need any of your goods enchanted?"

Wait for merchant's reply and if he say's yes, then imbue some of his stuff in exchange for some tomes and clothing. Also food and medical supplies. Food and tomes are the first priority. Once that's done, head off to the forests and talk to the spirits.

Ba hurried back to the castle to find Greywood as fast as he could. He knew that she'd be interested in the wooden carvings and the shrine itself. He finally found her.

He tried to keep an even tone, but an ever so slight hint of irrational fear crept in. "I didn't get any wood cut, but I found something. Something that you really need to check." He looked around to make sure no one else could hear him. "Just behind the hub there is a shrine with carvings lining the surface. It's almost as if the shrine is built into the hub itself. I can't really explain it well, but you really do have to check it out." Ba lowered his voice, something he normally doesn't do. "That place creeps me out, and I don't know why."
