Ba checks behind the doors on the first floor.

((I was mainly trying to get a description of the floor before I take a turn, but I suppose I can check doors.))

Lady Greenflower nods at Veranus. "Of course. If I have gained any virtue over the past 20 decades, it would be patience. Just leave the inedible bits in a pile, Vision or not I can track them down. Thank you very much. "

Action: Head back to the garden and use nature magic to manipulate the plants. Make them grow rapidly and form the shape of a bedroom complete with walls, a door, a bed, and storage. If time permits use nature magic to mutate any hive dwelling or swarming insects into queens and have them release pheromones to attract more insects and start a friendly colony. Gather the inedible bits from Veranus' butchering job.

    Brier
Finishing his device, if you can even call it a proper one, Brier places his theorized unlocker up to one of the doors in the kitchen. The machine rumbles as it begins matching the weave of the door, bending stretching, and twisting its own weave to synchronize with the door. The machine, now matched to the weaves of the doors, begins unlocking it. The process is long and loud, and many residents run to the kitchen just to yell at the nervous elf, but the machine eventually stops entirely.
Brier removes the machine, which seems to be in need of emergency repairs, and turns the knob of one of the kitchen's back doors. The door creaks open, the mana perfectly intact, and a storage room is revealed. Some of the loitering hecklers look surprised, and quickly begin cheering for the humble man they came to berate. Having no materials to repair or upgrade with, Brier begins searching through the storage. Firewood and unusable pots are all he can find, but this should be plenty for repairs. While he begins searching through the materials the lizardbird comes and asks if he can unlock the doors, to which the busy elf responds with an, "I'm busy, get out of my workspace!"
Brier continues working without rest, successfully avoiding passing out.
    Veranus Tigerclaw
Veranus spends her noon wary of the coming caravan, necromancer, and anything else in the castle, while processing her prey. She considered asking the old elf holed up in his bizarre "kitchen" if he can help her cook the meats before she began the processing, but by the time she got there a young shaman was already being kicked out along with a small group and the loud clank of the door locking.
The skin is rather haphazardly stripped, but the beasts are large enough that there should be enough skin to make a water pouch, so she quickly puts her scrap hides out to dry and begin tanning. The meat wasn't in much better shape, but she manages to pull through. With enough meat to last a while. And the bones were cleaned with extreme precision. It almost embarrasses her how poorly she dealt with the other two jobs.
Recalling that the necromancer asked for the bones, she picks a spot to put the bones and tells a nearby scholar to inform the necromancer if she passes by.
Veranus, being a warrior, wasn't taught the finer details of meat preservation by the village chefs when she was being raised. She gives a basic smoking, but eventually gives up and manages to harass the kitchen-elf to use a storage she had caught wind of to give it a proper preservation.
The disgusting rations the titan slavers had will just have to do for now.
    Forrel de Yahmiz
Point at the door and telling the spirits to unlock it seems silly to the shaman in retrospect. Spirits can be directed, but not ordered, so expecting something from such a silly idea kind of upsets Forrel. He goes to ask the inventor if he can help out, but is kicked out in a rather off character way by the old elf.
Somewhat dejected, Forrel begins making his way toward the spirit lair he had put off going to earlier, using the wind spirits to speed up the process. Several researchers ask to follow him, but they'd only slow him down, so he quickly escapes and begins a gentle glide. It takes mere minutes to reach the bed, or outline, of the spirit lair.
He tries touching the mysterious glowing blue barrier surrounding it, and a light shock meets his fingertips, followed by a welcoming sort of grip back. Forrel is pulled into the spirit lair. Two rather large spirits welcome him.
    Cicatrix Greywood Greenflower
Lacking her own room, Cicatrix angrily makes her way to the gardens with her new pile of bones and insect slaves. She tries making a room similar to the one she grew up in using nature magic, but whoever the Mage King is clearly despised having his gardens messed with, as she is immediately kicked back out into the courtyard. One of her corpse golems is sent to fetch some wild plants, so while she waits she begins working the bones into a more usable shape.
She almost breaks one of the bones trying to work it into a feasible golem form, so she quickly stops her work and begins repair of the damaged bone. Necromancy was far more delicate when working with processed bones than a simple raising of the dead, so she had to be careful not to destroy her monstrosities before they can be animated. During the repair her golem returns with a few fresh flowers, and some random weeds of some sort.
It's not an ideal combination, but she manages to nearly recreate her childhood room. It always comforted her to have green plants around her, even if they can't be seen, but she had no use of them when she had to control an entire nation. Perhaps being stripped of power had a silver lining of sorts, but these plants are only a temporary haven. Permanent residence will have to be established before the end of the week.
Forgetting that, the repair to the bones is done, and she quickly begins planning what to work them into before nearly breaking them again.
    Ba'gandi Kashi
Ba wanders around the military wing sniffing out doors. Next to the training room, the smell of actual weapons is wafting out. Next to that seems to be the storage for weapon materials. Next to the hall leading to the gardens, an infirmary is sniffed out. Along with... two medical supply rooms? Gnolls had little use for such strong medicines, only goblins ever attacked.
Wandering to the gardens to sniff out the other doors, an amusing spectacle is seen by the bored warrior. A rather young looking elf is tossed out relatively forcefully when she tried touching some of the plants. Ba has a good laugh, and gets back to work. Most of the rooms reek of gardening supplies, but a treasury and workshop are sniffed out. It seems each wing had its own budgets that were stored in the wings themselves. If any merchants came along it would be a good idea to have the treasury open. Not that it matters, Ba didn't particularly... get along... with any merchant, really.
The fairly amused gnoll goes back to the practice room, where some small children of various races are practicing how to use swords and axes.

Brier regrets many things at the moment, such as kicking everyone out and forgoing sleep, but this device (Which he has chosen to name a samophlange until a more proper name is though of) is the literal key to the rest of the castle. He fixes and reinforces the machine, making it more resistant to the wear and tear of the procedure, as well as faster.

Taking a break, he gave his schematics on the device to the closest person outside the door, telling them that if everyone can at least build the shell for these devices, he will be able to mass produce more of them.

He then heads back and slaps the upgraded samophlange onto the next important looking door. As the door is unlocked, he looks for anything in the storage or kitchen that may contain caffeine.

Upgrade samophlange, unlock next door, find ancient coffee/tea.

Forrel informaly bows to the two spirits in the way of his city. Interesting how large these two were.

"I'm honoured to be accepted into your home great spirits. I'am Forrel de Yahmiz, high shaman at your service."

Forrel looked around at the Spirit Lair and enjoyed in its beauty.

"Would it be ok if I were to ask a few questions?"

If the spirits allow, ask them their names (if any) and their types. Ask them how long they've been here and if they know about the surrounding land. Especially the castle and it's builders.

"Questions, yes, yes..."
"Names? Interesting. If you are to call us, call us Carn and Mache. As for time, we aren't very sure. We know we were here, and we know we grew, but time is rather meaningless to us here. However, we cannot answer any questions regarding Solom's castle.
"We can answer any other questions, but we need to know what you wish to ask first."

"Ummm..what exactly are your specialities? Nature, water, fire, order or anything for that matter? Oh, um...Do you know anything about how this realm was created? Or anything about demons or titans?"

Veranus hadn't been able to concentrate very well today. She was in fairly even mood, though. She wondered what the caravan would bring-more death? Hyperions Slavers? Or maybe, much needed help. She did not bother herself with it for long. What happens, happens.

She decided to speak to the Gnoll that had joined them. Of all of them, he seemed the most able warrior beside her. Judging by the notches on his axe and the dents in his armor, he was more use to brute force fighting, which was the opposite of her own.

She approached him after dinner.

"Greetings. I sensed a fellow warrior here.

I've heard some of the others call you "The Beserker" or just "Ba". Do you prefer these titles, or do you have a true name?

Just call me Veranus Tigerclaw, anyway."

She tried to smile, but it just wasn't happening tonight.

"Specialties? We've never thought of such trivialities. This realm was created during a split of the living and their souls. It is simply a stream of the dead's released power. Always different, yet never changing."
"Titans and demons, you say? We know of similar creatures, but titans cannot enter this realm. We've never seen one. Our knowledge of demons is less limited, but only to the point that we know that the undercarriage of the soul realm was made to cage them by Solom's master."

"I knew I was out of practice... but this is ridiculous." Cicatrix mutters to herself as she finaly restores the bones to a workable condition. "Nearly broke the damn thing. Best put bones to the side for now; another simple golem would be of little use to me at this point. Let me wait until I need to replace one of my zombies, or have the means and inspiration to work on something more powerful."

The High Elf slowly feels her way back to the garden. "Now then, Mage King, dead or dormant... waiting to be challenged or even surpassed... I need those plants, so let the games begin."

Action: Use knowledge of the arcane to dispel, or at the very least understand, the spell protecting the plants. If the enchantment is obviously way out of my league, don't mess with it. Spend some time studding and communicating with the plants in the garden to see if any have interesting properties of note. Eat some rations, Get some sleep.

After finding most of the doors locked he decided to talk to the owners of the building to use their forge. It seems as if they had just eaten. Ba walked in, but before he could ask his question someone had approached him. "It seems as if everyone knows of me as the Berserker these days. Must be the merchants. My name is Ba'gandi Kashi, nice to meet you." He looked around for a moment. "This is a rather strange house that you have here. Is there any chance I can use your forge just down the hall? Merchants don't take to kindly to me, and I wanted to forge a hunting knife."

"Pleased to meet you as well, Ba'gandi Kashi.

As for the house, I do not call it my own. It is a strange place, and I dwell here still only for the sake of the others.

Use the forge as you will-you do not need my permission-we have not chosen a leader among us, as of yet. I do not think we have much in the way of materials, though-use what you have sparingly..."

Veranus nodded and faded into the shadows. She needed to instruct everyone about tomorrow.

Action: Before sleep, Veranus instructs everyone on tomorrows plan for when the caravan comes-children and those who cannot fight take shelter in the barracks. Everyone who can fight stays in the fort and keeps watch, prepared for trouble.

Veranus volunteers herself to serve as an envoy to them.

There's no real forge that's open, just something you should know OOC before you get disappointed at a potentially wasted turn.

"Who is this Solom? Oh, and do you know of any other Spirit Lairs?"

It was interesting what he could glean from these spirits.
