In that case, a cow would be worth only 220 crystals 
Oh well, at least its better then 15 crystals.

If the wizard can't enslave us, our risk is much lower, but still not 0, since he might decide a growing swarm of crystals that might be able to grow indefinitely by killing things is slightly dangerous to him int he long run.

I can think of two major (fairly riskfree) courses of action 1) keep killing rabbits to get larger 2) fly over to the cow, and drop on its neck and STABITYSTABSTAB, killing it getting more precious crystals (something that should result in the same number of crystals as killing all of the rabbits).

Personally, I think we should go stabitystab the cow for massive growth.

I know it was from there, I just wanted to point out how far I beat you to it.

The swarm converges back together, and attempts to think of a way to make better use of the whole rabbit. It decides on a spherical form and sparking it continuously to hopefully affect it, and spreads out. Somewhat of a clunky sphere, but it works, and manages to envelop one of the rabbits, and starts charging as much of the inside of the sphere as possible, eventually ending up with a melted rabbit inside a perfectly round sphere of mana in the center, floating.
(4) The sparkmind gets rather confused on what to do with the sphere of mana and rabbit, so it slices it to pieces by dropping the top half of crystals inward. As soon as the first one pierces the bubble, the sphere explodes into clones of that crystal, blasting the swarm flat into the ground and knocking the edges out of line. While it work, it is agreed unanimously that is will not work for objects larger than the swarm, so after enveloping the remaining 35 or so rabbits, it again sits and attempts to create a more efficient/usable method.

So killing 2 rabbits gets 12 crystals, and killing 35 rabbits gets 35 crystals :/

They're quite large crystals compared to the normal ones, though, about 4" or so. I'll have a working conversion system built soon enough to have it make better sense, unless you guys have any suggestions on it. (A normal crystal will be a couple inches long, and 3/4th as wide.

Oh, in that case could you show the number of different sized crystals that we have?
Which is 26 small and 35 large.

That said, how much more powerful are the larger crystals, 4 times (since they are 4 times the size), 64 times (proportional to the volume) or somewhere in between?

Haven't actually determined that yet, I've been working on making said conversion scale/system/thing while not being the best at remembering much of geometry. I'll say 4x more power as a placeholder, since its the simplest.

The swarm flies over towards the mooing. It turns out to be a (probably not very good) wolf trap, with an angry bull in a cage hidden behind a cutout of a cow and a guy with a megaphone imitating said cow.
