Decidedly OOC:

"Aha, so the vile worm of cowardice hath burrowed into the apple of your heart!  I shall show you how to meet this foe!"

To GM: Beat the leader in single combat.

From GM:  Major Failure - The sand raider leader stabs you in the throat.  If only you had any melee weapons!

Was that from a PM?

Is it allowed to quote that stuff?

"Let me and sir Elensar handle this! We are surely clever and charming enough to dissuade those mongrels from harming us!"

OOC

It was a joke.

Also yes.  Were both also super handsome, and as we know sand raiders are all into dudes.

There is a fine line between "Solving a problem diplomatically" and "Bedding the enemy"

No, no, I was just being facetious and proposing an alternate scenario in which, bridling at any sign of folly, my character rushed into a skill challenge horribly unsuited for him.   ;)

"If you're sure you can manage it, my skills should be unneeded.  I'd like to hear what the soldiers think before I stand around idly and let you do all the work, though.

"If it does come to a fight, trying to fire an arrow in this storm would require skill to test even Sir Adrian, but I might be able to get close enough to the mage for a knife stroke.  If things look like they're going to go south, I could try and take him out so Sir Adrian would have a clear shot.

"If the more martially-minded knights share our faith in your abilities however I'll hang back - but the best assistance I'll be able to provide is healing if it turns to a fight after all."

"Ah yes, your healing prowess may be of use in our negotiations. They might have some wounded that they'd want to have healed."

How can we know for sure the rebels wont snipe our heads off in negotiation! Anyone who dare turn against the crown must taste cold steel, exept the wenches...they get a free pass.

"Well, it would seem I have to notch an arrow and put my faith with the rhetoric skills of Sirs Elensar and Sane."

"If talking goes wrong, then, Sirs Eously and Kumspecht should probably try to take out the magical sandstorm, while the rest of us fights. Would everyone agree with this course of actions?"

I'm good on this.  Ready to deliver action.  (Figure if we get 'readies' from all 8 of us we can end the Challenge phase early rather than waiting 3 days.)

"Sir, I do see wisdom in this plan, though I do suggest a small alternative- would it be prudent for myself to magically assist your words, so they may fly harder to his ears and strike truer to his heart?

Sir Far could assist Sir Kumspecht in case diplomacy fails."

God help us if we have to agree on pizza toppings at some point. There will be no survivors.
