 My latest hilarious scrape involved my second unplanned visit to the tomb colonies.. it never occurred to me that logging off last night with my Scandal level at 4 might drop me in it. My downfall was sharing a bottle of Black Wings Absinthe with lemon10 - as soon as he accepted my Scandal got bumped up to 5, which combined with the modish bonnet (+1 scandal) and scarlet stockings (+2 scandal) I had foolishly left equipped, landed me a one-way ticket to pariahville. Who knew that drunken transvestitism was so frowned upon in Fallen London?

In other news, I got my long-awaited sparkly walking stick! Below is the storylet completion screen, with the stats of the item tooltipped. Quite spoilery, though I have blacked out the name of the storylet:

I broke down and ended up installing the Babylon dictionary for 4 fate. If anything horrible happens to my machine as a result, I'll keep you guys informed.

I managed to uninstall this thing, through some combination of revo and deleting it from my browser add-ons list. No permanent damage done, as far as I can tell.

Hm. Well, there you go. Only got 30 from the robbery though. If you need any more just let me know and I'll run another robbery. It's all straightforward for me, so relatively quick to get up to the level 6 that makes the robbery low risk.

Edit: I'm just trying to grind up the 80,000  whispered secrets needed to purchase a room at the bazaar. Found an action that's straightforward that gives me 83 per action so hopefully it won't take too long, but holy crap is it boring. Anything to break up the monotony is welcome.

Hm... Took you up on your offer for another robbery a while ago, however it seems that my request was somehow lost, presumably intercepted by a player of the great game interested in delaying my attempt to win the marvelous for some unknown Machiavellian purpose. In any event it seems that delivering the request myself would be prudent, your response is humbly awaited good sir.

In the same vein, would anyone else be willing to do another robbery from the Museum of Mistakes for me (you need persuasive or shadowy at at least 70 to do it)? since that would be three robberies, and would garnish me the 77 coins I need.

Not a bother at all sir. The response may be a short while in coming. I'll need to get back to work on Monday or Tuesday before I can respond. Moving into a new house is FUN, and bills demand a lack of home Internet until next month at the earliest. And playing the Bazaar from an iPad/iPhone is not fun in the slightest.

I found two sources, both require fate. One was of a metallic nature, the other came from the completion (to a specific degree) of a challenge in a special location.

Metallic as in the brass embassy - I'm referring to the intimate with devils storyline (a specific storylet available between stages 8 and 10 or thereabouts). The other, better, source comes from a particularly successful result during the shroom races (which, once you have spent the fate, you can repeat as many times as you want, until you decide to leave).

Or until you die, since there's no healing opportunities there and plenty of non-optional wounds increasers.

 If you have stats in the 50+ range (like Theodolus), you have nothing to fear from that area, everything should be straightforward for you. If you're getting seriously battered, your stats are probably too low (I managed ok by relying on a couple of 45+ stats, but my wounds did creep up to 6 or 7). Otherwise, you can heal wounds using the tincture of vigour item, available from the bazaar (and sometimes as a reward..). The horsehead amulet item will also keep you alive a little longer.
