I just put that down if someone wants to switch go ahead I just don't like multiple choices in this kind of situation, so I choose the first one I saw.

OOC: You should probably mention in your bio that Kingsley is a psychopath-don't just make stuff that big out of nowhere lol. Sort of boring though, roleplying without emotion. Even Immolatia has some personality.

 Harley was born to a couple of human woodcutters living in a remote and unprotected village. At the tender age of 5 months he was kidnapped by a goblin child snatcher. He spent his childhood years living amounst the greenskins. Like most snatched children he was treated well but indoctrinated into the goblin way of viewing the world.

Around his 8th birthday Harley began to learn the most noble and respected of goblin professions; thievery. Despite his tall even for a human frame Harley's instructors and peers quickly learned that the young man had an uncanny and almost magical tendency to avoid detection. By the time he turned 11 he was already setting out on one man child snatching raids of his own, terrorizing the local human, elven, and dwarven populations.

Unfortunately the head of the goblin thieves guild saw Harley as a threat to his power and position. On a moonless night the well respected goblin snuck into Harley's room in the tower and bound the human in his sleep, dragging him out into the woods for execution. Just as the infamous goblin thief was preparing to bring down his dagger into Harley's throat he was interrupted in a leathal fashion by a human who turned out to be the legendary wizard, Nalglan the Green.

Nalglan, noticing immediately the presence in the boy took him on as an apprentice. Over the years the mage taught his student many magical secrets, but could never quite figure out how to make his charge behave like a civilized human being.

Harley is a friendly, caring, and cheerful individual who suffers from a complete lack of morals. He thinks nothing of theft, deception, or even murder as a means to an end that would benefit himself or his friends. He has the outward personality of a trusting naive person, but will strike brutally and pre-emptively against anybody he even suspects has plans to betray or harm him or his few friends.

Mother's-murder; An artifact quality dwarf leather veil. It was created by the Dwarf Tholig Ironpick from the flesh of her husband Urist. On it is a depection of the human theif Harley Vanguard snatching the Dwarven baby Logem Ironpick in dwarf bone.

Harley stole this artifact two months after snatching the creators child. He uses it to cover his face while performing less than legal activities. He has desecrated the artifact somewhat by carving the names of all 14 children he has stolen into it.

OOC: Yeah, Weirdsound's playing a Human who didn't magically revert to being a normal, 'good' person once he was "rescued". No mary sue there.

Since, as a Goblin, Morals would be entirely different thing from a Human, you could'nt even call him willfully evil-he's just living how he was raised to act.

Born into a noble house in the same city as the Council of Mages, Carden was set on the path of becoming yet another rake. At least, that was, until his mother died bringing his brother into the world. Unwilling to raise two boys on his own, and stricken with grief, Carden's father pawned off his sons on a pair of family friends. Where Carden's brother, Alfred, was apprenticed to a shipping mogul, Carden was taken under the wing of Malkin the Black.
By all accounts, Carden was a bright young boy who quickly took to his lessons. Now a charming and care-free soul, Carden is the exact image of the young nobleman he might have someday been. Though he is also soft, with a slightly altruistic streak, and one wonders if Malkin has truly prepared him for the hardships a wizard is bound to face.

Your most valued possession: His mother's golden locket, which hangs from a sterling silver chain, is inlaid with star rubies and contains a small hand-painted portrait of their family from back when Carden was but a wee tot.

It's 1:30am, and I haven't roleplayed in over a year so...be gentle?
Also, I may go in later and expand upon the backstory. It's very lacking at the moment.

I appreciate the irony between our two characters though-the token Carden took from his family is one of compassion, while the token Immolatia took is one of bitterness.

I imagine our character's partnership will mostly find its strength in rivalry, since they make pretty good foils. It should be interesting.

Immolatia's eyes flash a vivid red as she stares Carden down.

"Listen, I don't like you...and you probably don't like me. But none of us can do this alone. You agree, right?" She pauses to hold the small red crystal around the neck. One can detect a simmering anger in her voice, ready to explode at the slightest provocation...and yet, an iron will holds it in check. A dangerous combination.

"If we're going to win, we have to put aside emotion... Do what we have to do, to win. Maybe even survive. I'm not backing down from this. Are you?"

Immolatia waited for a response. She expected disapproval. Rejection. After all, Carden was everything she was not. Well adjusted. Happy. An unwounded soul.

They both drew power from the respective totems they wore around their necks. Hatred...Kindness. Bitterness...hope. Death...life.

Of all the apprentices, had she not felt a strange kinship with him? A desire to test her true self against his, and see which was better?

Immolatia was intrigued-which would last longer? Her grey, withered heart, a garden full of ashes? Or his bright, hopeful one, overgrowing with plenty?

"I need you...your not like me. Where I am broken, you are whole. My focus is narrow, and yours is wide. Where I am weak, you are strong.

And, you need me...for I will do the things you cannot bring yourself to do. I can spare you from them. I am many things...but I am not a monster, unless I have to be. I will relieve you of the burden of that choice. What do you say?"

The crystal burned. Not physically. It always felt like it was burning, times like this. Yet, Immolatia could never find the strength to remove it. She just twisted it around and around...over, and over again.

I told you guys! Tlaxo's like the nerdy kid at the sports tryouts, he's left standing there after everyone picks their teams! No one wants anything to do with him and his yellow magic!!
