Dwarmin, since I don't really have creative control over this game anymore, I have to ask you, what rules will you make up concerning the military?  How will armies fight, how will battles be conducted, stuff like that.  Remember to ask for some advice, they are your advisers after all.  Also, you cannot change the rules once you make them.  I'm not suggesting anything specific, but can you please make up some rules that are fair to your military and to the soldiers of any enemy you fight?  I'd like fighting to be balanced.

“There, I did something. I clapped. I like clapping,” he said. -The Investigator And The Case Of The Missing Brain.

That's not a good idea.  I already asked Iituem why he copied my thread, and I made sure to emphasize that I did not mean to offend him.  I'm trying to be diplomatic here.

Finally, Advisor Talarion smells the smoke. "That isn't coming from my fireplace..." He utters the word, and the silencing ward cancels. He hears the screams, and the roaring of the fire. His eyes widen, and he drops the barrier, before smashing the lovely window next to his fireplace, and leaping out. He landed hard, [5] luckily breaking nothing. He breathes heavily, holding the book in his hand, slowly walking out into the street from the side-alley he was in, seeing the guards and his home being consumed in fire. "My... House... My collection of books!!" he resists the urge to drop to his knees and scream out the word 'Noooo!' in a dramatic fashion to the sky. He merely stares as his house burns, helpless.

That's not a good idea.  I already asked NoahTophatz why he copied my thread, and I made sure to emphasize that I did not mean to offend him.  I'm trying to be diplomatic here.

I wasn't aware that it was Noah who copied it.

As for why I did a "You are King", I enjoyed the unstructured form of the earlier 'You are Lord' and since you were now adding structure felt that it might be enjoyable to start a thread based on that style (though whether I succeeded at that is now highly questionable).  I certainly did not mean to offend, but it is worth remembering you don't own ideas - you own executions of ideas.  I assessed that the execution of 'You are Lord' that had developed was enough of a community effort that there would be little offense in borrowing elements of the structure that had grown.

Speaking of which, I wouldn't object to you using the battle system developed for You are King either, since that itself is borrowed from Roll To Dodge.  Use whatever systems suit what you are trying to achieve.

Perhaps I should have asked you directly if it would be alright to copy the concept of 'the first person to reply is the King/Lord', and indeed that would have been more polite.  However, the game elements beyond that that I have used owe more to Dwarmin and the players who developed it spontaneously.  These elements were what I sought to recapture.

@Noahtophatz: If you want-explain how you arrive in the game though. Don't just drop in from nowhere.
Also, I don't care who copies what, but I'll look at their systems, and see what we can do with ours.

@NRDL: Have not decided yet. I was just using 1d6+modifiers up till now, but I guess I need a better system.

[Patrol=5] Thie fire is put out quickly, if only due to a well build close nearby. Just about everything is intact but singed a bit. [5] All of the thieves are caught quickly, and no mistakes are made by the guards in whom they arrested.

Go ahead since I ain't planning on making more characters you can take my slot since one is dead (Devoured by, a demon, and the demon turned into an archdemon) and the other is a rat with no way of becomign human agian i assume

OOC: Actually in the very post you were transmogrified in, Ochita succesfully demonstrated his transmutation ability, which means he could fix you if he wanted. Blastomro was going to give you to him and tell him to bring you back the capital.

The Guard responds boredly "The Lord 'is entertaining is mistresses after eating Dragon hearts, bring up your complaints at the next meeting. Now, move along then, mate."

((It was intended to be put out quickly, and as a cover for the thieves escape. You know, while the city guard are organising the bucket chain, then doing said bucket chain. But, like all well organised police forces, there is always someone at the bottom looking to make a buck.))

In the middle of the night, there is a visitor to the cells. A quick pass of a money bag later, and one of Drasvadanya's associates gets a chance to talk to the mapping party. A rolled up piece of paper is pushed through the cell bars, and the associate leaves.

Advisor Talarion begins to thank the guards profusely! He then pauses, and sighs. He went inside to check his house. The Kitchens were burnt. As were slot of the bottom floors, but thankfully, the only 2nd floor room that took damage was the library. Most of the important books were in his study anyways... He requests that some of the guard stay in his house, for a price of course. Noting the lack of rugs, however, he despairs... But he won't show it In case he's still being watched.

(( I had a suggestion for combat, but it became more complicated than expected when it had more than 2 sides... >.< ))

[Detection roll ((For the bribed guard getting caught))=2] The guard is competant to leave while he's still good. He ends up buying a farm in a small hamlet within the province, far away from any investigators. Nobody would suspect anything happened.
