Despite the fact that you remember this particular video in startling detail, you should only send him the geist of it, like some passing cloud of thought. Also; you just turned around a looked at him in reaction to his thought, which is very suspicious. You shouldn't immediate approach him, but instead look mildly confused (instead of hopeful) for a couple minutes, then approach him (assuming he doesn't approach you).

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

The voices show you a trailer for a film about a horribly inefficent murderer with a spoon. It's funny, but you don't get it really. This might be due to your amnesia/being kept in a prision for you entire life. Still, you decide to send the gist of the thought towards the man. He looks at you. You put on your best pleading face. He seems to sigh, and steps away from the window. He opens the door, and then stops, and thinks to himself for a bit. And then laughs out loud.

"Fuck me, that'd make a hilarious flick..." The man chuckles. Then looks at you.

Shit, the poor guy must be starving.

"I am." You say, almost involuntarily. Oh dear, you should remember to tell the difference between thoughts and actually talking.

He stares at you. "...Uh. How did you know what I was just... Are you...?"

Fuck, Jake, pull yourself together. You must have blurted it out.

Say:
"Well it's not as if I need to be a mind reader to work out. I've seen how bad I look."

Then smile, and wait for a reply.

"Dude, I wouldn't be suspicious if you said "Wow, I am starving!" I am because you just randomly said to me "I Am" just when I was thinking about it."

This guy is just...Unsettling.

"People show their thoughts on their faces and body almost all the time. All it takes is for you to start looking, and eventually you can't stop." Let your exhaustion overcome you for a moment, probably tipping a little. "That, and 'I am' tends to work for most things you can get from lookin' at me." Look him up and down for a second. "Like that I'm naturally...insane?" Your last word being almost depreciating. Shake your head a little, and say, "I...if you're willing to help me out a little, I'd be much obliged."

"Uh... Interesting."

Fuck me, I had to end up with the world's only homeless body language expert.

"So, since you are starving, shouldn't you get something to eat? I am eating alone tonight, so it'll be nice to hang out, you know?"

What the hell am I saying why am I trying to chat up a random hobo!?

The man looks very nervous. You can understand his pain. Must be terrible living in a backwater village and also be gay. That wouldn't be fun at all.

Ask for food, shelter, other essentials, at least until you are back at full health and on your feet.

Thank him. That should be the first thing you do. Then, try to keep from bothering him too much, as you are his guest, and help around the house whenever you can, because otherwise you're a freeloader. Do you know how to cook?

Not exactly. But you can do a lot of things.

"Thank you, I am a bit ill... Would you mind if I stayed a while? I haven't really been in a house for a year. I can probably help you with repairs and hauling stuff, and I don't mind if you don't pay me."

Fuck me, times must have been tough on this guy. And he seems so nice... and actually quite attractive... oh shut up!

"Alright then. You can stay, for as long as you need to. I have a spare room that I won't be using. My name is Jake. What is your name?" Jake looks at you expectantly.

"Ben." Benjamin Strøm. Unless there's some normal name you feel like blurting out...

"Okay, Ben, you can stay here for a while." Jake smiles, and leads you in.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The past month has been great. You haven't been overbearing, and you have helped Jake a lot. Against your wishes, he wants to pay you. You enjoy what seems to be a new life of freedom and happiness.

Well, until that freedom and happiness suddenly gets interupted by five corperation seucurity officers kicking open the door, shooting the guy who has been caring for you and attempting to find you while you are close to passing out due to a telepathic connection with someone being severed suddenly due to them being shot in the head.

...

Which is exactly what just happened. You are hiding in a cupboard. The soldiers are searching for you. You can't hold onto reality, you feel like you are close to passing out. You pray to the voices, who have been silent so far, for guidance.
