I learned that a copper-clad goblin will cronically injure a trained, steel-and-bronze-clad dwarf 90% of the time.

I learned one of the best ways to easily make a well inside your fort, using a lake. Still building, hopefully it works.

I learned that an outdoor quantum stockpile works just fine for all those gobbo and troll corpses and severed body parts. Add a properly placed bridge, and that quantum dead gobbo stockpile suddenly becomes a rather efficient atom smasher.

I learned today: don't mark the dining room as meeting hall. Now I've got ~100 dwarfs which are all friends, married and breeding like rabbits.

"Urist McRandomDwarf has organized a party at randomtable."

And now there are sitting 100 dwarfs in my dining hall, zoo or statue garden partying. I want those lazy boozers to work! :-\

I learned that you need to set a stockpile next to a prisoner, or else he/she will die of thirst/starvation.

I also learned that sending melee troops against enemies when wildlife is present is a bad idea: my best soldier and only axelord was killed by a goblin lasher (he was also steel-clad!!) while pursuing a giant capybara... instant save-scum followed.

Naked dwarves remove the need to produce more clothing, which means more of your pig tails can be brewed into booze.
I think this is less a problem and more an expression of dwarven priorities.

This can be forgiven. Just go pull the lever in the room with the warm floodgate.

I learnt that, unless frozen, combined with magma, or powering magma pump stacks, water is undwarfy.
I also learnt that until booze is considered a proper liquid, I can't have mist generators.

By all means. I have only 130 dwarves, and I'm sitting on top of 7.500 units of booze. And counting.
I can't even sell them fast enough to the caravans - I can LITERALLY have booze fountains in my fort. Can't wait for that...
