One of my current fortress was randomly named Merchantgraves.  I've not lived up to the name yet.  Maybe once I get magma flowing and no longer need massive amounts of wood for burning.  However, I have lined the path to the depot with stone coffins, only the last few being empty.

The game named a fort of mine Lovecraft back when I played 40d. There was HFS involved.

"Mistylantern."  Naturally, I had to then build a giant lantern-shaped tower out of green glass, just so it would live up to its name.

My previous fort was named "Carnagesmiths". Top that.

Only pity was that a) there wasn't anything to smith and b) this made making any sort of carnage a bit tricky and c) I'd foolishly turned auto-save off which lead to me losing a lot of progress again and again causing me to abandon.

Not only was the fort named Carnagesmiths but I also later had an artifact perfect gem (one of the first damn gems to find as well) named "firesister" and the next mood created a garnet table with an image of firesister on it and also having a fire-related name.

These two moods gave me, in consecutive order, a legendary gem cutter and a legendary gem setter too, but the claystone was hideously boring.

My last fort was RNG'd as Conflictdiamonds. Ironically, the fort was doomed by tantrum spiral caused by my poor wall planning before they ever unearthed a diamond.

It may not be a fortress, but The Moral Proliferation-Guilds is the best group name I've had so far. Otherwise I'm a fan of an old fort's name Tinhazy. No tin to be found anywhere, but hazy was appropriate with the dwarves going mad.

I'm only on my second fortress (Mirrorhooves) but I've taken my forum handle from my first fortress.
