It's fucking stupid how much I love Fever Ray. Like, really, feeling this amount of sappy gratitude toward a total stranger who makes weird songs in a weird accent while wearing a bunch of weird makeup should be a sign that there's something wrong with me. But she never fails to make me feel calm, makes me remember what it's like to not feel stressed all the time, and that's something I value a lot. I refrain from getting any of her songs on my mobile to prevent the magic from wearing off with repetition.

Perhaps I'm selling her too high. But this is how I feel at this time.

Double post but who gives a h*ck.

Moskva-Kassiopeya is pretty awesome.

E: While we're at Russian electronic music, Kim&Buran are also a blast at times.

I noticed this and it amuses me.

Also: Does anyone here like songs based on stories? Bill K'tepi wrote a great short story called The Cheshire and Escape Key made a great song about it called The Girl That's Never Been. Seriosuly, they are both awesome, and I suggest that if you want to listen to the song, read the story first - it makes the song so much better to listen to.

Bracket - She's My Eraser. I was going to accompany this song with a blurb about its current relevance, but I can't figure out how to word it right now. Just listen to it. Speaking of relevant, excellent songs...

Having to fight back tears when my dad showed me an exceedingly beautiful folk song. Good grief.
And to think this is the new album of the same artist I used to be tortured with on car rides last time I visited! :o

Very different things from today, each lifting me from this depression in their own way.

A grim reminder of the beast.  The one within everyone one of us.  Never retreat.  Never surrender

And...
a compilation of characters, half of which I know, dancing DDR to a techno beat.  Enchanting like the fey, sometimes literally.

I hope I see these in the morning and rewatch them.  They remind me why life is worth living.

That is so weird, I discovered a song which used that exact video a little earlier, and thought 'damn, this video is amazing'.

Here's the song, a little dissonant, but I do rather like it. Fly For Your Life
