Oh yeah...  Huh, I may have seen that first!  I think the one I posted is the "original", especially since this one's somewhat cut, but Gunship is amazing and really works here too.
They do a lot of this... synthwave, I think?  Usually with more "80s"-style animation, neon and stuff.

I particularly like this one because it has a little narrative about love, kinda touches me personally.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYRZV8dV10w

Simon Swerwer recently re-released a bunch of his tracks on Youtube, since apparently there's some Soundcloud drama.
I like this one (natch): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnsNrLFI7sk

Huh apparently Dozebôm and Calidovi have plugged Simon Swerwer before, though long ago.
Anyway here's one he did that has a bit of a music video/narrative: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aibTdZJOQ0
Makes me nostalgic for when I actually played DF a lot.

I never used to like anything without lyrics in it, but I'm revising that opinion.

... dunno if I ever posted this. Was probably a good decade or better where the first (pre-song, sorta') bit of it was intermittently stuck in my head, despite having heard it even more years before it started doing that. Bit like Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, that.

But sometime in the last year or so, I got around to finding a recording I had originally seen on VHS.

Never have got around to seeing if I could actually dig up where the instrumental bit I remembered came from, but the vid is an old Screen Song short for someone or another's "Oh, You Beautiful Doll."

Guardian's Inferno has got a musical video now.

Ideally watched on a VHS tape, I'd say, but we have to settle for YouTube.

Waveshaper - Wisdom of Rage (from the Furi OST)

The Furi OST has some really, really good synthwave stuff. The only tracks I dislike at all are on instrumentation choice, which is pretty subjective.

Synthwave has rapidly become my neutral background music of choice, somehow. It's not always as thematically evocative as, say, metal, which is what I tend to listen to otherwise. :P

Speaking of OST's. Pyre's got a pretty great one. A few favourites - although I can't really put anything with lyrics because spoilers (kinda):

Oh hah, Comrade P, your name always makes me think of this Dutch singer / comedian / poet / writer called drs.P
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drs._P
He was a real war hero (I mean, you really gotta have some balls to draw Hitler and Mussolini as Jokers on a card game while in SS prison)

Here's some of his funny songs, you'd giggle if you could understand the Dutch.
