Nah, I have an idea that I think will everyone happy.

You get about 10% of the other guys trading income, minus the amount made from the trade you do with HIM.

Theoretically, you should also get 10% of the income I get from other players. So if I trade with everyone...

Fireflies should win you a fair number of battles, 22 attack? Yeah. Bit expensive but hey, I'd buy em if I had access to em. Still need real troops for defense but..yeah.

700 a pop with a 100 pound charge per fly per turn. You need to provide transportation. (Unless you buy transportation separate of course.)

That is for the 'full service' package up to and including attacking my own units.

To lower the per turn charge down you can add the, 'not at war with criptfeind' clause that makes it so I will not allow you to use them to attack me and only charge you upkeep for them.

I am pretty sure that we can not just trade units right? Only lone them?

That destories my entire strategy. But hey, I can invest in my territories with that money and encourage others to trade with me.

I imagine that we would be able to purchase them outright from others. Though that may need GM clarification.  I'd be looking more to Purchase, rather than rent.

You may purchase units from other players, yes.  You may even purchase them whilst they are still in that player's territories, though said player would perhaps be wise to move them to either the new owner's territory or into neutral territory such as the sea.

You may also loan units.  It is entirely acceptable for you to play the Charlescomm of this game.  Go nuts.

Oh, and zerg rush strategists should looove zombies.

I'm just stomping around low wealth territories with 3 spearmen and two Skrimishers at the moment. Once the route to by claims is blocked by land, I will create more experianced and powerful soldiers to take Dalton.

Hopefully I will have enough trade and wealth at that point to mantain such an Army.
