Is there another way than invasion of the US? A white peace? Taking Japan and then surrending it in exchange for peace?

We could almost certainly eventually force a white peace, but I think I'd rather make some territorial gains.

We can starve the Turks out with bombing, but we'll need at least some air assets in the Far East to serve as a naval deterrent until we can build a navy of our own.

I would like to be put in command of the far east divsions, China shall fall to my wrath... so will Japan and the US.

If we're looking at world conquest, there will eventually have to be a tipping point where we just attack everyone without any consideration. I don't think we're there yet, but it's somthing that should be watched for.

That should happen only when we have siezed atleast a quarter of the world or maybe a third, say, after we get the US and maybe Germany, the others while numerous should not pose too great threats for us to be afraid of them

mcclay, welcome aboard. I have a long weekend ahead, thanks to the 4th of July, so I'll get some information for you when I do a real update.

I'll do a fake update this evening, to include information about everyone's units and our new production setup/technology priorities. Over the next few years of game time we're going to have an utter ton of capital ships to name, so if you have a properly bombastic Soviet suggestion...

Well, considering we're in '42 now, 4 squadron of TACs should be more than enough to keep strategic bombarding the city straight to 0, as long as you have given them a major first push with a bunch of them to 0 in the first place. Since naval deterrence is a long-term concern, it should be okay to expend a bunch of squadrons in Anatolia, if only for two to three weeks at most.

In any case, since the war with the US is a strategic concern, and a long-term one, I propose that we take out divisions out of Turkey other than the ones necessary and go bashing on Persia.

Yeah, let's invade Persia. Also, where are the yankees getting their oil from?

The Americans have their own oil fields in Texas and elsewhere. They're a powerhouse that can't be starved out unless you strat.bomb them to death, at which point you could just annex them anyway. Also, because they have Free Market sliders, they consume 25% less resources than us - meaning their capacity limit is 25% higher than us too.

If we want to take a chunk out of their oil production i think alaska is a safe bet, it's both close and rich in oil, the terrain might be a bit problematic though.

I don't think there is oil in alaska ingame, its pretty much completely barren except for a single point vp.

Oil was only discovered in Alaska in quantity in 1968.

Even if you managed to cut the production of US oil, they would still have a stockpile enough to last for quite a while.
