Commander Name: Jones
Squadron Number: 19th
Background: The 19th, unofficially the "Storm Riders" sqaudron is an old and venerable group-it's roots extend far back into the early years of the great star empire, and it's shed blood in nearly every war the empire had. Of course, years of peace have sapped it's experienced pilots, and it's little more than a popular patriotic icon today. As such, there's alot of prestige serving here-a good springboard if your looking to move upwards in the Imperial navy-meaning there are more than a few fresh academy graduates and young up and comers. Due to this, they have seen little to no combat, their greatest assets being a few older pilotswho transferred here rather than retire.
Recently, the commander of the 19th and several of the squad were killed in a rebel ambush while attending a parade fly over. The replacement commander was Jones-a man dedicated to moving the 19th to battle ready status, to do it's fabled history justice.
The squad itself is a contentious bunch of type-A personalites and bickering young hotshots, always trying more dangerous stunts in a bid to outdo one another. Losing a portion of the squad to a sneak attack recently has left many of them in a vengeful mood, eager to make the rebels hurt.
Squad Bios! (Because I got plenty of time, and like to role play

Roster:
Squadron:
1 (Jones)(V)(IN)(5)(R)
The older members, and the best pilots, are Jones and Westmoreland. They are much respected parental figures to the rest. While not risk takers, they do take some heroic measures to correct the mistakes of their squadmates. Of course, they're been friends for years
Jones is the "good cop", always keeping everyones spirits up.
2 (Westmoreland)(V)(IN)(5)(R)
The older members, and the best pilots, are Jones and Westmoreland. They are much respected parental figures to the rest. While not risk takers, they do take some heroic measures to correct the mistakes of their squadmates. Of course, they're been friends for years.
Westmoreland is the "bad cop" and handles citations and transfers.
3 (Teller)(R)(IN)(1)(R)
Teller and Weller are best friends, partially due to fate of their names, and the fact they're both adrenaline junkines. Of the squad, they've gotten the most citations for reckless stunts. They fight well together though, using twin interceptor techniques to a creative degree.
Teller has a steady hand and a good eye-he always keeps his wingmen safe.
4 (Weller)(R)(IN)(1)(R)
Weller and Teller are best friends, partially due to fate of their names, and the fact they're both adrenaline junkines. Of the squad, they've gotten the most citations for reckless stunts. They fight well together though, using twin interceptor techniques to a creative degree.
Weller is the more aggresive of the two, often choosing to lead attacks.
5 (Sisko)(R)(LF)(1)(R)
Sisko wants to join the fleet one day as a captain, and views the sqaud as a stepping stone. He displays a keen strategic nature, which he uses to his advantage. The squad has come to rely on it in tough spots. Indeed, if it were'nt for his quick orders on the day of the ambush, the entire squad may have been lost.
6 (Desmond)(N)(LF)(0)(R)
Desmond is looking to earn his combat wings for his future political career. He's prone to panic during battle, as he did during the ambush-abadoning Sisko to hold off 2 enemy fighters by himself. Only the timely intervention of Erin saved him from being scrapped. Despite these shortcomings, the rest of the squad is understanding. Some people just don't "have it".
He's not likely to get any better, since he claims he plans to transfer to a non-com post ASAP. Something is keeping him around though...
Erin and Desmond are rumored to be involved romantically. They do seem to fly very defensively to one another, which is sadly likely to get one or both of them killed. Westmoreland would usually boot them, or at least transfer them, but in this case, he's held back by the upcoming war.
7 (Olivia)(R)(LF)(1)(R)
Judge, Amelie, and Olivia are the replacements, from those that died in the ambush. They lack the pedigree or skills of the others...
Olivia is a easy going, casual sort-friends with everybody. She was forced to join the navy by her parents rather than go to jail for wrecking an expensive land speeder. In battle, she flies recklessly and with little thought to self preservation. She's often the 3rd stooge, tagging alongside Weller and Teller, her new friends.
8 (Amelie)(N)(LF)(0)(R)
Judge, Amelie, and Olivia are the replacements, from those that died in the ambush. They lack the pedigree or skills of the others...
Amelie is a no-nonsense pilot, grounded in strategic lingo and procedure manuals, hailing from a firmly middle class family. She likes to tinker with machines in her time off. Plays chess with Sisko when not flying or tinkering, but often loses.
9 (Josh)(R)(HF)(1)(R)
Josh is another older pilot, but one who's barely seen real combat. Being a religious sort. he has an aversion to wanton killling, but it didn't stop him from scoring the only kill during the ambush. He seems to like flying, but not shooting-he can't seem to hit a target unless they fired at him first.
10 (Judge)(N)(HF)(0)(R)
Judge, Amelie, and Olivia are the replacements, from those that died in the ambush. They lack the pedigree or skills of the others...
Judge is the youngest of the squad-he doesn't seem to talk much, perhaps feeling a bit overwhelmed. In battle he flies defensively, and displays a common, and often fatal error-the reluctance to engage the enemy. He's receiving personal tutoring from Richardson though, who see's potential.
11 (Erin)(R)(FB)(1)(R)
Richardson is the 3rd eldest behind the others. He was an experienced pilot, but a crippling injury incurred during a landing accident has left him groping for his former skill. He views Judge as a sort of surrogate son. Due to his injuries, his thinking and reflexes have slowed and he had difficulty with target identification-often, he'll just drop his bombs on the first ship he sees.
12 (Erin)(N)(FB)(0)(R)
Erin is the daughter of a much respected fleet admiral, so it was expected she would end up here. Though she flies like a natural and can throw a bomb through the enemy captains port-o-toilet, it's not her true calling, and it shows in her bitter and caustic nature. She is consumed with hatred for the rebels after what they did to her friends during the ambush-in one case they went as far to blow up the escape pod of one of her jettisoned squad, so she's looking for payback...despite her bombing skills, she's not had any real dogfighting experience, and remains, frustratingly, a nugget.
Erin and Desmond are rumored to be involved romantically. They do seem to fly very defensively to one another, which is sadly likely to get one or both of them killed. Westmoreland would usually boot them, or at least transfer them, but in this case, he's held back by the upcoming war.
