Sounder standing by. You guys find me those enemy ships, then I'll get to losing them for good.

My bombers will standby and stay fresh for an eventual bombing run.

My heavy fighters will escort the carrier in two half turn shifts to avoid fatigue.

My fighter-bombers will scout for our mining fleet and check in on their status.

Sorry, I won't be able to process half-shifts. Would you like to just send 2 out to escort instead?

Well the current fleet is full, but I'm still accepting Reserve Squadrons that might be able to join in action later. Unless any of the players want to give you control of a pair of the pilots!  :)

Spoiler: Turn Orders (click to show/hide)

Just to be clear on the scouting mission, you're sending the 4 together? Or do you want the them to be two separate missions?
Together.

Well, I've rolled up a chunk of the turn, but I'll have to wait until I receive orders from the 210th and the sister ships Phobos and Deimos before I get down to the combat.

This turn, the capital ships will be relatively safe as neither side is really sure where the other is located. The enemy is operating under the same rules as you guys so they'll be sending scout patrols to try and find your big guns.

A note on spotting - If you luck out and manage to find a Capital Ship while on a scouting mission, there is about a 50% chance you'll be detected by the other side, depending on how large your group is. If the other side doesn't detect you, they'll have no idea that you know where there ship is located, making it a very juicy target for a bombing run next phase. However if they do spot you, expect them to beef up their escorts on that ship making it more difficult for your bombers.

This works both ways! So be careful, the enemy might be able to spot your ships without your knowledge so be sure to cover them with either dedicated escorts or patrols. I'd be happy to answer any questions regarding Ships or tactics.

Just a quick note, while there's nothing stopping you from sending your entire Squadron out in a single phase, it will mean next turn they will all suffer from Fatigue next phase. Fatigued pilots suffer a penalty. I would recommend saving some pilots on standby. You could probably reduce the escort duties on the Duke safely as it is already covered by others.

"What? We'll not be outdone, that's for sure!"

The Deimos scouts alongside the Phobos.
