2-handing weapons doubles it's STR scaling and halves it's STR requirement except for dragon weapons. It does nothing for DEX.

Also bad move killing the merchant. He's the only one that sells talismans that block flask healing, a must for invaders.

I've never used them. Of course, I get killed a lot, so I may not have the best experiences to share. I've only seen them used once. I didn't understand why I couldn't heal, and was backstabbed while examining my apparently empty flask.

Are the weapons with STR scaling A worth it? The wiki tells me they are:
Demon's Greataxe
Club
Large Club
Dragon Bone Fist
And on that note, I think I'll try a build with fist weapons sometime soon. Sounds fun. Terrible build, but fun.

If you want a difficult build, try the whip weapons. Worst in the game.

Dragon Bone Fist combined with Hidden Weapon can be used to cause hilarity in PvP.

The don't look too bad. Good DEX scaling.

No parry or backstab is pretty crippling.

You can still parry to stun them, you just don't get a special riposte. You have to keep grinding away at your opponent.

I've been making a 50 faith solaire build and doing tons of jolly Co-Operation.

+10 sunlight straight sword isn't doing much for me without any extra points in STR or DEX and I refuse to make it divine.

So since I'm relying completely on great lightning spears and great chaos fireballs, invaders destroy me.
Any time I try to melee it ends up with them just trying to circle me. I may have spent 20 minutes trying to deal with one backstab fisher alone, because apparently winning is so important for them that using their separation crystal is just not an option.

Uh, why?  It makes perfect sense.

Did I just do something unspeakably evil here? I kind of feel bad about it but they did have it coming.

One of the things I really like about the Dark Souls storyline is that it really is up to you to decide who you should trust and who is malevolent, benevolent or just selfish.

Yeah, things tend to be left very vague, and I personally think that's a good thing. It leaves a lot of room for interpretation and it feels even better that the developers have been very closed lip about their intentions. Although if the DLC reveals more I might change my opinion there, still as long as it's not just blatant spoilers, I'll probably still enjoy it.
