I hadn't noticed before, but the Marksman's also missing an eye.

Hell. Yah.

That just incressed his badassness by 1000%

Wait, what?

It's true, but you do have to wonder if missing an eye affects accuracy at all.  FOR SCIENCE, anyone?

You only need one eye to sight down a rifle.

Can I have a guy named Jacen? Preferably a soldier with a rifle. But anything will do.

I have a Swordsman and a Hammerman who need names at the moment. Otherwise, it'll be drafting another peasant into the military.

The lack of flux is killing me. I've got 2 steel weapons, a chainsaw and a Super Sledge, and a Steel Shield Generator (i.e. Standard Shield), and that's it in terms of useful weaponry. Apart from the guns, anyway.

New update tomorrow. I promise.

Chris backed away from the toad hurriedly. She had noticed the door to the underground river was ajar, and had ventured down there to see if there was anything to hunt. Unfortunately, the first thing she met was a Giant Toad, which shrugged off several shotgun blasts with little more than light bruising. The toad advanced again, and took another shotgun blast, which was again deflected by its thick skin. It swiped at her, catching her by the leg and breaking it horribly. She loosed another blast in its' direction, this time aiming for the head. Again the creature shrugged off the bone pellets, completely disregarding the mild stinging sensation. It brought one giant foot down, and Chris knew no more.

Donna looked up from her gardening. She hadn't been sleeping well since Chris had been killed by Fastenbuster, the giant toad living in the underground river. She knew grief was natural, but she seemed to be going mad with the stress she was under. She was hearing voices; voices telling her to avenge Chris' death, to end it all, and one, very familiar voice, telling her exactly how to make that Ripper she had seen as a child...

"Donna?"
"Zealotwaded!"
"Huh?"

Donna hurried down the passage to the metalworks. Shoving aside the apprentice armoursmith and his bar of Bronze, she took a shining Steel bar from the stockpiles, and a piece of tanned brahmin hide from the tannery. She set to work, hammering the steel into shapes she would not have dreamed of, then using the hide to reinforce and decorate the weapon. When she had finished, Zealotwaded the Steel Ripper was magnificent to behold, a masterpiece awaiting a champion to wield it.

A death and a Possession. Hoping for armoursmith mood next, and am giving all non-moodable dwellers some exp in armoursmithery.

All requested dwarves are in, and I will mention them soon!

A drafted peasant is fine.

This looks fun! Any reason why is it 40d? Personal preference?

Also could we get a few pictures of the fort please?

It's 40d because I'm far too lazy to figure out DF2010's Military screen.

I keep meaning to take pictures, and then play too far ahead of the story to get relevant pictures. They'll turn up eventually.

I was wondering if I might claim the Cook?

His name shall be Pierre, he was an apprentice chef who had immigrated to the united states before the war, and some how had secured a spot in vault 17.

Give cats natural metallic armor and throw them in your danger room.  Also allow their mouth and tail to grasp (shield in mouth, weapon in tail xD)  Have a cat based military.  You know, do the same with all tame animals xD send in the cats as shock troops to disrupt the archers

You can always do a DFMA upload so we have an idea of what the location/fort looks like.

I'll take a person

Name: Chad
Occupation: farmer/broker (if possible, else just farmer)

Because you can never trust a guy named Chad.
