A friend of mine runs a joke Facebook page for our uni's chancellor/dean/whathaveyou. I contribute what little I can with what little Photoshop skills I have. My latest contribution was a quick, messy face swap of the chancellor onto a romance novel cover. That planted a seed in my mind... a seed of that kind of... "fan-fiction". It buried itself deep into my head, and i found myself typing out a little of it.

So I looked at my monitor and there's four red lights at the top. The part that mainly terrifies me about it is my computer security, though.

not much scary about the lights themselves, I'm just a nerd so with Windows 10 I find it to be way more susceptible to any hacking attempts, even if there's no valuable data on my computer.

Honestly I don't even know why they are there, it just alternates between green and red most of the time and sometimes it's like two lights, up to four, but they're constantly blinking and it's really annoying.

Because I consider net security paramount, it doesn't really terrify me but it scares me for the safety of my local connection and wi-fi, I don't want obtrusive things slipping through like viruses and malware constantly(which I have been dealing with constantly as of lately)
