Could not connect to localhost: 5000?

I think you'll find dfhack runs on port 5000, or is it 3000. Either you have no dfhack installed, or you blocked it with your firewall.

Or, more likely, you didn't install the supplied DFHack plugin.

This has to be the single mosty amazing and bad ass thign to happen to DF since the orginal Visualizer release all those years ago. I have to ask how long till we can start loading up our super cites to see them in full 3D glory?

Why do I feel that these maps can translate into Minecraft worlds so nicely? It looks like it could be confused as such by those unfamiliar.

Nice work. Always looking forward to the next updates.

OK, reproducible bug in the new version.  Luckily the user-fix is permanent though (so far) and doesn't seem to tricky.

The issue is that the configuration settings has no default path, but defaults to autoload - and attempting to autoload with no path causes issues.  To reproduce, just edit the configuration settings to omit the path, and leave autoload on.

To users reading this, you can just open the configuration settings in a text editor and change 'autoload=1' to 'autoload=0', then open isoworld, load a map, quit, and change the settings back.  Also make sure you extracted to the main DF folder.

God damnit, not that bug again. I'll get a fix up shortly.

I can't seem to reproduce it here, at least, I get no crashes or anything.

Just reporting that the shadow on quadrant borders is a bit weird. View is "Oversized Elevation"

EDIT: Also, how does updating/refreshing work? Would it make sense to have a "refresh" button?

The quadrant border shadowing issue is, unfortunately, not easy to fix. And by not easy, I mean I don't know any way around it. The cause is complicated, and right now the only partial fix is to open the ini file and change the shadow scale to something less extreme so it's less noticable.

As for the updates, it will update once per ingame month, or if you close and re-open it.

It seems to have vanished for me as well, so maybe it was an issue with a new install?  Anyway, working now.

Aand, I'm an idiot.  I was screwing up the folder structure, and had a dependency stuck in the wrong place.

Built again, and it's now working fine.  Sorry for the time-wasting.

There is nothing that would stop this working with lazy newb pack. At all.
