The Redcliffe night attack. Holy shit, I got fucking annihilated and I only barely managed to stay alive by running around with Wynne waiting for her revival ability to charge up so I could rez Alistair to take some heat off of me. I was so close to dying the entire time, and almost every other NPC died.

How in the fuck am I supposed to do that? I remember it being so much easier before.

I noticed that the frames Dwemer Centurions stand in have a lever on the side. Hmm, an option for stealth characters? I certainly didn't want to play ring-around-the-rosie, plinking it with steel arrows for twenty minutes until it collapses because I didn't get any archery perks until a few levels ago.

So, I finally sneak up to the frame without activating the Centurion, pull the lever... and it activates the Centurion anyway. Totally pointless.

Skyrim.
It's good for when there's Falmer around, but not much else.

Died with my machete in hand during a valiant-yet-futile attempt to retake the ship from the aliens who'd managed to infiltrate it whilst we were down on-planet trying to exterminate them. I'd lost my shotgun after being knocked down pretty much as soon as we charged up the ladders to the upper deck, but at least managed to give an alien a nasty whack with my blade before it tore me to ribbons.

At least I didn't get my head torn off. I guess that counts as a silver lining?

In the county of Testland with the cataclysm's greatest reality warping superhero Testman.  Testman creates two tanker trucks out of midair and a large charge of ANFO.  The cataclysm news crew watches in awe as Testman, mumbling something about testing part durability, lights the fuse to the anfo but is so overburndened by the massive barrel of explosives that he can't even get it put down before it explodes spectacularly.

Both tanker trucks and a nearby evac shelter are devastated by the blast.  Testman vanishes entirely.  More at 11.

Quick fyi: there's a trait called "debug invincibility" that makes you completely invulnerable to health damage.

That sounds like exactly what I needed.  Sounds like Testman is getting a new superpower. Thanks.

No problem. There's a bunch of debug traits you might like, like ones that allow you to craft things whose requirements you don't meet, or survive without eating; they're how I built a Mach 4 motorcycle for science purposes with little to no hassle.

The scenario started with Aelita near some Bloks.... somewhere. She got rekt, and since Aelita is needed to deactivate the Towers (at least in the show) there was no way to complete the scenario.

In the time before Aelita met her end, I spent half the time calling Odd, Ulrich and Yumi on the phone. I kept ordering them to go to the scanners... only to find that they had already been there the whole time. Then, I spent the remaining time futilely trying to scan and virtualize them, which just would not happen no matter what order I typed the commands in.

This game is utterly baffling, but I want to figure it out because it looks impressive. I've never seen anything like it, at least, and I want to know what it's like when you can actually play it instead of just opening and closing menus.

Got nommed on by a new, boss-like enemy, the Colossal Ruin. Took me a couple of tries to figure out how to not get killed by it's swallow attack.

I'm a bit tired of aimlessly sidequesting around, so I decided to call Ohdaviing and wrap up the main story.

At Skuldafn, the second or third terrace has three Draugr Scourge on it. I couldn't Fus-Roh-Dah them off the terrace and ended up cornered. I jumped off the ledge to get away and heal, but ended up breaking my ankles.

Got sold on the disaster dlc for cities skylines.

I loaded up one of my older cities.  One I was quite proud of.  A city built on an archipelago.  A very mountainous one, back then I had pretty much made a custom map where I randomly scattered about the terrain height for about 10 minutes, and then sunk half of the terrain underwater.  An actual city planner would probably call the terrain unbuildable, but I had done it.

I loaded it up and then went to the tsunami button.  Found the slider for intensity, cranked it up to 10 and clicked on the map.   Nothing.  I waited for the cooldown to pass and clicked again.  Nothing.  Then I tried a bunch of other disasters, tornadoes?  nope.  Meteors?  Nope.  Earthquakes?  Nope. More meteors?  Nope. Sinkholes?

Nothing seemed to be happening.  Unfortunately for my poor city I learned... I learned that player spawned disasters are delayed by a few minutes and all hell broke loose on the city all at once.  Every single confused click all at max intensity.  Ending population?  60.

Cities skylines.

The AI doesnt have to disband units even when it has minus a million gpt, so in the earlygame it just builds up huge fucking armies that i could never support and rolls over me. how fucking fun!!!
