Or maybe the page system depends on the length of posts instead of the amount.

After this I did some testing. It seems the 25 messages/page is optimal. 50 is way too much, but 25 seems great. Thanks!

I'm not particularly good at controlling Marisa; I'm too used to Reimu. She flies too fast, making it hard to dodge waves of death with fine control. I managed to completely dodge Cirno's Icicle Fall(which gives me problems even as Reimu), and just barely beat her Perfect Freeze(half a second from taking one of the unfrozen danmakus to the face), but died to her Diamond Storm.

Then I died to Meiling's Gorgeous Sweet Flower. Then I died to Koakuma. Then Patchouli(especially since Patchouli's spellcards change depending on not only your character, but your spellcard).

I'm not particularly good at controlling Reimu either, it seems. Died, in order, to Rumia's Demarcation(calling BS since that shot was nowhere near me), Cirno's Icicle Fall, followed by Meiling's Rainbow Wind Chime... twice. During the same attempt. *facepalm*

Not exactly a death, since I never actually hit a game over screen but.....

Constant, unending enemy raids. Just raid, after raid, after raid. It's kind of absurd, really - if it's not horse spawn, it's trolls, or one of the dozens of other clans that hate me for absolutely no reason, or the duck people raiding me because they said I killed them (despite the fact I picked make peace) and i don't have any silver to pay them... and they don't want cows.

I've restarted the game 4 times now, and I constantly spam recruit weapon thanes and it does not even matter because they all get killed in raids till I eventually just rage quit.

What size of land did you pick? A smaller territory is easier to defend. Make sure you actually set your thanes on watch. For the horse-spawn, you will want to buy certain fortifications right away, I forget which but there are few so you can figure it out.

Shredded by a cross between a skeleton and a wheel with blades. If they hit me it's pretty much an assured death too due to being stunned and the tight quarters.
