o_O Odd, I've never been defeated in STO before, and I'm still relatively new. Or, at least, I've never upgraded the starter ship. Did you charge the Cube/Spheres and get targeted?
It's an emergency battle that pops up from time to time in the Regulus Sector block, iirc. Dozens of Borg Cubes backed up by spheres, each of them difficult to kill. Shoot at one, and all of them move towards you to engage, and they're faster and more manuverable. Your shields drop to nothing, and you're surrounded, and by then you're doomed. The super weapon has an AoE instant-death attack with a 360 degree firing arc and spawns Repair Spheres that will regen all nearby Borg ships. You frequently respawn within 5km of said superweapon. Trying to take that on with only three or four ships is futile.

Throwing axe to the hip.
Javelin to the face.
Arrow to the eye(x2).
Cut down by cavalry(many times).
Arrow to the throat whilst raising my sword for a strike(a few times).

It's often tempting to just go bananas with the remote, because that seems to get just as much accomplished as trying to actually follow the instructions.  Seriously though, the little images they give that give you hints on how to shake it... not always the most helpful thing.  I thought it wanted me to swing from side to side, but no, I was supposed to swing it down... kinda.  ???
